We went to the South First Fridays ArtWalk, a nighttime tour through galleries, museums, and independent creative businesses in San Jose, California. One street was closed for cars and converted into a street fair. Afterwards we went to a cocktail bar. This is an interesting lamp in the bar.
I processed a photographic and a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

We went to an event at Swissnex, located at a pier on Embarcadero in San Francisco, California. After that we took Weimo, a self-driving robot taxi to a cozy jazz bar on Broadway. It was pretty dark in the room, perfect for a shot with the extremely light sensitive vintage Dream Lens.

The imposing building on Main Road, Hathersage was formally the village's bank (the Nat West Bank) but is now an upmarket restaurant and cocktail bar named "Bank House".

The former Independent Order of Odd Fellows Oregon Lodge No 3 building (1922), which was also the former home of Friedrich's Hardware store, as viewed from Washington Street. A corner of the roof of the Stevens-Crawford Heritage House (1908) can be seen in the upper right-hand corner.

This pub was refurbished in 2017 and yet at the beginning of 2018 it was shut by its Greene King owners. Local newspapers note that the Camden area has been experiencing a significant decline in the number of pubs, with 70 reportedly having shut since 2001.
The good news (for those using pubs, at least) is that the site was not redeveloped into upmarket flats, which was what was rumoured. Instead, it has recently reopened as The Oxford Tavern, as a free house, with its internal grand bar and parquet floored dining area intact.
I like the place for its architectural style - four-square, solid stone and brickwork, although there is nothing special enough about it to be given listed status by Historic England.
A night out on the town with Andy Rouse and that well known Taxi Driver from the Wirral, Mr Mark (Robert De Niro) Dixon. Not a night of drinking and debauchery, but a very quiet evening of photographing the sites of Manchester. After Mark’s brilliant post of the ‘Alan Turing’ Memorial and Andy’s post of the Manchester Central Library, also brilliant, I have been pressured into doing a silhouette; this wasn’t my first choice but here it is anyway.
The scene is outside the ‘Dirty Martini Cocktail Bar’ on Peter Street, Manchester, UK. It looks to me as though these people were waiting to gain access to the premises, but having checked on the opening times, the Bar was already open. Looking at the young lady on the left it is more likely they are outside having a smoke break. I particularly like the silhouette of the three young ladies on the right in front of the orange glow from the window…..!
