The clock show of It's A Small World nearing completion. The doors that show the time are in the process of opening.

This is an old fashioned, pulse clock which - many years ago - was driven from a master clock. The master clock has long been disconnected and I was hoping to be able to donate this to the Ipswich Transport Museum as they have a master clock. But, my employer, in their infinite wisdom, what to put this in their archive.

Clock face in local antiques shop for 'faces' theme this month

I went into the garden, the aim was to do some gardening, mow the lawn... do some weeding and pruning etc. But then I saw the dandelion clocks on the grass, and got distracted. It doesn't take much to distract me, in fact methinks I was perhaps looking for a distraction! I do like taking photos of these, and hadn't picked up the macro lens for a while, so it had to be done.

Alas the garden remains unkempt, but it has been mowed twice this year which is an improvement from last year. I will get round to it in Summer 2012 I am sure!

Clock out! I wish!

The Balmoral Clock on the Balmoral Hotel on Princes Street taken from Waterloo Place. Another shot with the Lensbaby 3G this time with the f4 aperture ring in to get more blur. Wasn't the easiest shot to take to be honest. Focus on the clock face was a challenge even with the 3G. Happy enough with this though.

Counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds left until 01/20/09. I took this Sunday, 05/21/06 approximately 9am.

When I tagged this for MSH Feb '07 on 2/1/07 the time read: 718 days, 8 hrs, 50 min.

St Johns Cathedral, Valletta

On a building which was once a prison

Urban exploration (UrbEx) isn't something I typically do a lot of, but a close friend invited me to come along with him once, and I decided to give it a try. It was definitely an interesting and exciting experience, and made for some fantastic photo opportunities. Not sure if this is something I'd do often, but it was fun and unique!

The location is an abandoned hospital in rural Pennsylvania, which has only been vacant a few years, but the damage inflicted by vandals, vagrants, and scrappers has taken a considerable toll on building's integrity. Combined with fire and weather damage, it looks like it's been abandoned for decades, rather than years, and it's undeniably spooky inside.

This clock will never tick again.
