Climate change is the most impending problem of our time. Each little
thing we do in our daily lives makes a difference. Where the big
difference comes in is when government agencies like the EPA make
sweeping changes that help the average citizen move in the direction
of reducing greenhouse emissions. Requiring car manufacturers to think
of more than their bottom line gives me the chance to buy an
affordable less polluting or even zero emissions car.

EPA Decision Makers-
Please allow California to adopt it's own clean car standards. Please allow California to be an example for the rest of the country. Hopefully other states will follow and America's voice will be heard... WE WANT CLEANER CARS... cars unfortunately have become a way of life so we might as well make sure they have the least amount of impact on our environment. We could make a huge difference in slowing down global warming. The people are speaking... now hopefully the government and car makers will listen. The auto industry is in such dire straits because they insist on living in the past... please help them see the error of their ways by showing them that people want better more fuel efficient cars... and remember... the government is the voice of the people... and the car companies have to listen to the what the government suggests because the US government is bailing out their asses. I'd rather see American car companies fail then allow them to go back to their archaic practices after accepting the money of the American people. It's only fair they make some sacrifices if they want to survive in today's marketplace.

As a resident of Los Angeles, I and many others are desperate for
cleaner cars. It's awful sitting in traffic everyday breathing toxic
fumes from gas emissions. We need a breath of fresh air! The
technology is there for cleaner cars, we just need the push from the
EPA.
