Dear President Obama and the EPA,
California took the lead in passing legislation to limit the amount of CO2
emissions in our state. The Bush Administration blocked the bill from
becoming law. Now you're considering overturning it. We know this
administration is visionary and headed in the right direction. Allowing
limits on CO2 emissions is to drive a ways down that most desirable road.
Please do the right thing.

I have never seen such dirty air as here in urban Florida with its heavy car traffic. Time we tighten up standards.
My name is Tom S. from Indianapolis, Indiana and I support efforts by the EPA to allow states to implement clean car standards that would reduce greenhouse emissions. I believe this will help reduce air pollution and global warming but also ultimately help the auto makers as they are discovering that with gas prices likely to go back up people want cars that get better mileage and don't pollute.

Here is my 2002 Prius in 2009! (I bought it when they were still trying to get rid of them) I could not be happier than when I'm driving my quiet & fuel efficient Prius. It has a few minor scrapes from parking out at my work place (a junior college), but is looking very great otherwise. This is not a picture of me with my keys next to the car, but I think that getting 7 years of great, non-polluting transportation & 45 miles per gallon is evidence enough to emphasize the need for more energy efficient vehicles in this country!Sandra J Van HornCitrus Heights, California

The EPA MUST grant California a waiver to IMPLEMENT high clean air
standards so that greenhouse emissions from cars and trucks are
significantly reduced! This is not only a key to saving our
environment, but it is essential to set regulations which will
ultimately save our auto industry by forcing them to build the kind of
clean cars which will sell.
