4497, the youngest 44 Class locomotive still in service before the cessation of Qube 44 operations, in the rake of stored 44s at Goulburn. 4498 also survives, but has been stored inoperable at St. James siding, next to Cooks River for many years.
A lunchtime trip to Hendon spotted this everyday event. I can't recall where I was standing, but it was probably legal!

Students in Class 85 were taught by three chefs at Heritage Day, an event which celebrates world cuisines and gives students the opportunity to interact directly with talented chefs.
A class 150 DMU departs Harrogate on a Saturday morning York working. The last few weeks of Arriva Northern's franchise, and little did I know it would be the last time I would ride a train for a year as Covid hit !
It was a long time ago, I was just 23. Last in the group, I posed serious to look older than I was.
There were 27 of us (two dropped back and graduated in '74) out of 32 who started. This was Calgary's first medical class and we called ourselves the 'Guinea Pigs', because they were experimenting with an new style of teaching - more patient oriented and using systems rather than disciplines. It was hard, but great.

Built by English Electric/RobertStephenson & Hawthorns Ltd, Darlington in 1961. Withdrawn in 1982. Arrived at the GCR in 1992. Operational.
The Class of 1953 held their 60th Class Reunion at Tavern 59 at the Pebble Lake Golf Course on Saturday, July 20, 2013.
The Chinese girls from Nebraska Christian offered a Chinese Cooking Night. They demonstrated how to cook and serve a "Chinese Hot Pot." A Chinese Hot Pot is a healthy version of a fondue party. Hot pot dinners can last a couple of hours because you are cooking and eating in small portions at the same time. Participants had their choice of a variety of items (including steak, chicken, shrimp, sweet potato, lettuce, and mushrooms), to cook in two different types of broth in the hot pots.
It was a very enjoyable evening!
