Project wingman is the Air Force Suicide Prevention initiative. It has been determined that airmen returning from the warzones are at a much greater risk for suicide than the general population. Project Wingman aims to educate all the people around these servicemen how to look for and prevent suicide through the techniques of ACE (Ask, Care, Escort) or the more intensive Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. From the Project wingman website:
“The goal of the Wingman Project is to eliminate Warfighter and family member suicide through human outreach, media and training.”
Take a class with Dave and Dave can help get the word out by creating the images that go with these posters. We can create the media. Please create an 8 X 12 300dpi image that can fit in these posters. Your image should include text expressing a concept that these people are not alone, we are their wingman. Since I came across "take a class with Dave & Dave" and decided to look in, I've found out there are approx 24 hours left to accomplish the week 177 tasks (a picture of a flower and one of a scene inspired by a movie).
So, let's start with the movie. It's "Home" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. It allows pictures of landscapes, nature, animals, you name it. It's about environment aware economy.
The sheep is one of the most natural sources for textile fabric, wool. Sheep have been domesticated since about 8000 years. Sheep fit perfecly well into an economy close to nature, a scene @home.

Week 19, Assignment 2. Landscape with a foreground element. The French have a wonderfully obscure term for this technique - but I can't think of it "repussoir" maybe. It has to do with pushing. Anyway, landscapes can often be a bit boring, putting something in the foreground really helps the viewer get into the image. Be aware that your foreground element should not impede the viewer, but help them. tag with cwd192.
This is the most difficult of the three assignments for me. I shot about 40 pics for this, and this is the one that I'm happiest with.

This was a bear in front of a sports bar in Brevard, NC... I saw it as we were passing thru and got out to take the pictures...My poor hubby had to drive around the block a few time, as he waited on me :)

Backgammon - My favorite rainy day game. I've been known to play for up to six hours if the mood strikes me.

Again, I was taking a photo (the bottles) and she seemed to want her photo taken also. I am very happy at the result.

Assignment: Abstract. From wikipedia: Abstract art is now generally understood to mean art that does not depict objects in the natural world, but instead uses color and form in a non-representational way. You are free to create your abstraction entirely in-camera, in post-processing, or as a combination of the two.
These are tulips. I flipped the shot upside down and ran a couple of effects on it.
