this is not really comically creative or even sublime, but its a park i visit alot to relax and unwind... and the park in a former life part of a concrete processing plant which took the sand and stone from the river to the plant.. in its hey day this conveyor belt would rumble day & night... now its a wonderful green park..

There was about 30 seconds of spring today when I went outside without a coat and umbrella. Then it returned to torrential rain showers. *sigh*
For CWD: Clouds
It's possible I was thinking about my frozen fingers. Maybe wondering why I was sitting on a wet log with my feet in soaking wet leaves. Maybe I was wondering what that bird was doing. Or maybe I was looking at the beautiful view around me. Maybe.
Taken in the Dillonvale suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.
I walk around this neighborhood most days and have noticed that many of these man hole and other access covers are in people's lawns rather than out in the street as is common in most other neighborhoods. Those connected with water are often painted blue while those related to gas are often yellow. I guess they were trying to save paint by only painting some of the cover rather than the whole thing. This one appears to be rather old as it says "CWD" which stands for
"Cincinnati Water Department" rather than the current designation of "CWW" which stands for "Cincinnati Water Works" as it is now known. (A bit of trivia for you)
cwd302 - Sunrise/Sunset : We have a lot of these shots in the pool, but we've never had an assignment that mandated them. Now we do.

When the CWD Assignment 'Cutout (redux-redux)' came this week, this is what immediately came to mind for me. Well this + my knee-high stiletto boots. But then I liked this better. But it is a bitch to edit, more my skin under the tulle than anything else.
So I gave up and this is all I got. Just a photo of me in one of my tutu's. I am uploading it anyway.
And if you want, feel free to say something nice about it. I am feeling a little down in the dumps this morning, so I could use a little cheering up, even if it is a lecherous comment on my short lil' legs. :-)

Cwd173 : Light in the frame. The Kodak guides from the 70’s will tell you to put the sun behind the photographer, shining on the subjects face. This invariably results in pictures where the subjects are squinting into a bright vacation sun. Your challenge is to present an image where a light source is in the frame. The light in your image does not need to be the sole source. Realize having a light in your image may freak your exposure meter out. Have an idea of the image you’re after, then execute it. Don’t be satisfied until you achieve your vision.

I took about 40 shots with ducky on my desk. The poor bugger was lit from all angles by two lamps. He's a little trooper - I've had to spread some cream on his arse due to the slight burning he received due to this shot.
I really like the fact that the reflection is the "true" ducky but he's completely blown out up top there
