On a calm, cloudy November morning, B522 heads south from Dearborn, MI with steel slab loads for Middletown, OH. With rumors of the Cleveland Cliffs Detroit location closing down, one can only wonder what the future route of this train will be.
Local CSX train is through Columbia, SC with an ex-EMD GP30 on point. This unit has had her entire block taken out and replaced by a concrete block. It gets it's power from the GP40-2 behind it.
CSX M367-14 with CSX 3440 "Spirit Of Ravenna" trailing 2nd headed westbound through Lyons NY bound for Chicago IL 7-14-24.
CSX local B705 swings around the curve at Point of Rocks MARC station. On point are 3 BNSF C44-9Ws, one of which still sporting the iconic former Santa Fe Warbonnet livery, the others in a still sharp H2.
Several other railfans were out to a witness this amazing sight, as these things cause quite a stir when they head to the east coast.

CSX M364-17 has Housatonic 3901 and 3902 GP39s trailing headed eastbound through Lyons NY bound for Selkirk NY 7-18-25.
I always like(d) to shoot the high and wide loads that would come down CSX from Laurens through Columbia on their way to the ports at the coast. They always had a caboose on the rear of the train. This shot was made in Newberry, South Carolina near the point where the old Southern Railway V Line met with the former Columbia, Newberry & Laurens Railway. As such it is safe to say that this is my most-photographed caboose.
The General Electric plant in Greenville makes large wind turbines and ships them out by rail. They leave the plant on the Carolina Piedmont Railroad and are interchanged with CSX Railroad in Laurens.
CSX I020-16 has CSX 3440 "Spirit Of Ravenna" leading headed eastbound through Clyde NY bound for Worcester MA 6-17-24.
CSX Q300-25 brings their Woodbourne cars eastbound through Langhorne led by ET44AH 3468 and CW44AC 131 once again. They left the rest of their train on the siding between Nesh and Berry while they completed this move. April 26, 2017.
CSX K534 from Massena NY., joins the old Chicago line at QC-291. Passing the Syracuse Amtrak Station with CSX 9018, CSX 8719, CSX "lego cab" 4042 & CSX 7878.
CSX ES44DC in dark blue. This is the final version with version 5 wheel covers. These run well on lego track and don't hit crossings or the power pickups.
CSX FP7 118 at Crystal City (Arlington), Virginia. Built in 1952 as Clinchfield 200. The CSX F Units were famous in the 1980s and 1990s, operating in RoadRailer, business train, and excursion services.
