The R&S turn to AMP in Dansville is heading back to Brooks Ave. Yard with CSX 641 in tow. The "train" is passing the old DL&W station in Mount Morris, NY on October 11, 2015. The station is now a private residence and can no longer be accessed. I literally stumbled upon this move while on my way to pick up a load of pumpkins in Dalton. I saw the headlight coming at the crossing and quickly drove to the end of Lackawanna Street and ran through the brush and up to the tracks just as the train was passing and got a couple of quick grab shots.

CSX train Q310-21 rolls south (railroad east) and splits a pair of vintage C&O ground mast signals which will soon become a thing of the past. CSX is embarking on a signal replacement project on its former C&O Northern Subdivision this year; this project will eliminate many vintage C&O signals – including many that have stood for most of the twentieth century – in favor of modern signaling that, while efficient, lacks the distinctive character of its predecessor.

On my trip to New York for the Indian Railways Fan Club of North America Convention, I made a trip to Poughkeepsie, New York to visit the Walkway over the Hudson. It was a awesome trip. The CSX line runs on the west bank of the river and the commuter line runs on the east side of the river.
Seen above is a CSX unit, northbound, passing just underneath the walkway.
