I like CSX and I like ES44ACs so when CSX came out with a new logo it gave me an excuse to build a dark blue ES. The new logo looks silly to me, but 4400 dark blue horses is hard to argue with. Very similar to my IAIS ES44AC, but with the added fun of glorious dark blue. Now on to those NS heritage ES44ACs!

I keep searching for ever better and better pictures of coal in rail cars or on river barges. This could be my favorite photo of coal in a rail car to date. But I keep looking.

CSX train Y22001 makes a dinner time run on the Lehigh Spur to bring almost 80 empty Vulcan Materials hoppers to the quarry. Fronted by CW44AC #39 and CW40-8 #7786, it rounds the curve at Galloway Road. The run was likely expedited to clear Hialeah Yard as best as possible for Hurricane Dorian's side skirt.
Todays Q403 is one of the few train movements on the CSX Trenton Sub, due to the severe storm from yesterday.. The typical CSX GE junk, but, it was nice to get out to see them roll by.
On the repair track at the CSX Cumberland Shops. A veteran of the L&N (5013) built in November 1971. It was an SW1500 switcher when it started out but is now a RCPHE4. It is a remote control engine that can be attached to other engines on a train to make them remote control as well. This used to be CSX 1118 and the 9 on it was just improvised. At this location, who knows what it is in store for it next. Maybe a paint job or refurbishing and hopefully not a retirement.
