Eastbound CSX train Q-594-25 comes through Tuscola, Illinois on February 25th, 2012 with CSX 6105-2785 and 54 cars.
CSX GP40-2 #6105 was built by EMD as B&O #4206 in May of 1975. Loco is still in use.
What was once a somewhat common sighting, has now gotten much more rare. Two SD70's are leading train Q403 west along the CSX Trenton Sub.
CSX X364 approaches Hackley Street in Muncie, Indiana, on the Indianapolis Line. The train originated in Avon Yard west of Indy and is bound for Selkirk Yard year Albany, New York.
After Q422 came Q409 westbound through TL with a six unit lash-up led by ES44AH 3021 with double stacks for Philly and mixed freight in tow, and a big wave from Christian, the conductor.
CSX eastbound intermodal train Q008 races through Union City, Indiana, on Track 2, probably because the dispatcher plans to run it around traffic ahead.

CSX M627-03 with CSX 911 "Spirit Of Our First Responders" leading and CSX 1973 "Chessie System" trailing 2nd headed westbound through Lyons NY bound for Buffalo NY 7-3-24.
CSX K44810 with BNSF 4661 dash 9, CREX 1325, and CSXT 925 ES44ACs being assembled and brake tested by the Greenville & Western then delivered to CSX in Pelzer, SC.
CSX B606-09 has CSX 1836 RF&P trailing 2nd headed westbound through Lyons NY bound for Linden IN 6-10-24.
CSX Y223-07 is seen on the trestle portion of the C&O bridge at Covington, KY. Both the GP40-2 and ex GP30 Road Slug are on home rails. The GP40-2 was built in 1980 for the Chessie System/C&O and the GP30 was built in 1962 for the C&O.
CSX 5391 and 3 other CSX units shove a small recently added cut to couple up with the bigger load of cars before bringing M404 northbound.
CSX Q464-10 heads north out of Columbia and by the Village at Sandhills with a trio of CSD AC powered units (CW44AC, SD70MAC, and ES44AH).

CSX M367-13 has been Flared Mac DPU headed westbound through Lyons NY yard bound for Chicago IL 4-13-24.
CSX SD70MAC 4761 leads a ethanol train west just east of Deshler, OH. This train was bound for the CP at Bensenville.
CSX M368-26 has CSX 1875 Pittsburgh & Lake Erie (P&LE) leading headed eastbound through Weedsport NY bound for Selkirk NY 7-27-24.
CSX ES40DC 5481 and ET44AH 3391 heads a westbound freight at Fostoria, Ohio on Monday, August 21st, 2023.
CSX GP15T 1503 Riverdale coming back into Barr Yard after doing local work in Riverdale and Dolton. The GP15T's were originally ordered in 1982 for Chessie System's New Rock Sub and later made their appearance system wide. They were very successful and popular with the crews.

A westbound CSX manifest freight crosses North Jackson Boulevard in Porter, Indiana. It is the first time I've seen a CSX train on the Grand Rapids Subdivision. The tracks in the foreground belong to Norfolk Southern's Chicago Line.
CSX GP38 #2174 was originally built as L&N #4044 in June 1971, from a group of ten GP38ACs. The GP38ACs had a handful of buyers, who were interested in the model's AC alternator vs the DC generator found on most other models of the time.
This engine was a frequent visitor to the area; it even found itself matched to another Seaboard painted engine on the D765 once or twice. Boy I wish I had taken pictures earlier.

CSX P923-13, one of the final Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus trains to traverse the Trenton Subdivision cruises westbound on the main at CP TL in Langhorne, PA, en-route from Oak Island, NJ to Trenton, NJ via a run-around move between Nesh and Berry, and then heading back east for the Fairless Branch to Morrisville. A nice mix of power, including a fresh ET44AH leader powered the move.. March 13, 2017.
A CSX manifest off the Toledo Sub is seen just east of Deshler after making the turn behind a former BN SD40-2 still in green and white. The second unit and third units were originally built for the L&N.
