A very cold winter night and a puddle of water gave a beautiful reflection of Rio-Antirio Bridge! comments are more than welcome!
Amazing to see the English Channel sea looking so clear and inviting. Taken from the waters edge on a lovely warm Spring day, Lulworth Cove, Dorset - UK.
Sarah pointed out this view. We passed by this vantage point on the way west that day, so when we returned east, she asked me to photograph this portion of the river. I wish that I could have captured a train on the bridge, but that would almost ruin the view.
Although it is nearly identical to the next image, they are a tad bit different due to moving 65 mph down a highway. Still, I love them both as it was a gorgeous morning.
This is Lake Pukaki, NZ. Found this spot along the side of the road on our way to Mount Cook which is hiding somewhere behind the cloud in the background to the right. Out of everywhere that I visited (not only in New Zealand but places I have traveled to so far) I would say that this was the most amazing and beautiful place I have seen. The photo really does'nt do this amazing place justice.
The water was crystal clear but I wasn’t at all sure what I was seeing.
Apparently this is a Banded Water Snake, and it is perhaps eating a frog…. I really don’t know, but I am very grateful that it is unusual to encounter this slithering off the dam into the water. I guarantee if it had come my way, I would have remembered how to run.

Crystal-clear turquoise waters and a white rocky shoreline.
Several yachts, sailboats, and smaller boats are anchored in the calm bay, scattered across the water.

Snow melt fills this mountain lake with some of the purest water you'd ever want to drink! As the water in our canteens warmed or was depleted, we always made certain to fill up or replace it before moving on. Date stamped on the slide frame indicates this was a 1977 trip.
And they said it would be foggy. Not only was it clear but it was also cold!! I'm really liking the fact that all of the construction cranes are gone. The city is really looking good! I came down here to try out my new fisheye on the sculpture but there was a news crew filming election results and they were right in my way. Bastards! I moved on down away from them and took advantage of their lights which were shining on the trees.
This shot is straight out of the camera. My white balance is a little off but I like it.
From Mrs. Macquarie's Chair in Sydney, Australia. Beautiful clear evening a week and a half ago. Sydney is one of the most beautiful harbors I've seen. It was a pleasure to photograph.
Fog settles over Crystal Springs Reservoir as seen from the Sawyer Camp Trail south of San Francisco.
Crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves carved by the sea give Polignano a Mare its uniqueness. A small town, known also as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” it's just over 30 km (18.5 miles) from Bari.
Poligano is the birthplace of the renowned singer Domenico Modugno, who became famous for his song Nel blu dipinto di blu (“In the Sky, Painted Blue”). The fascinating historical centre reveals traces of its Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman past, including the remains of the four watchtowers that once guarded the ancient town.
Head through the Arco della Porta (the Door Arch), once the town's only entrance, and you'll find yourself in the magical centre, home to the 13th-century Mother Church dedicated to the Assumption.

A pair of gorgeous adults found in the act of mating along a crystal clear river system in northern Michigan. This was the first time I've been fortunate enough to encounter this in the wild, seeing a protected species in this kind of setting was truly remarkable.
Cool crisp air and a breeze light as the wind blew in off the Pacific and cleared the fog that had permeated the shoreline much of the day creating a crystal clear sky with brilliant starlight. Driving down California's Pacific Coast at night during a full moon is possibly one of the best ways to see some of the coastline. The light from the moon turns the ordinary in to magical scenes. The gulls have all roosted and the skies are wonderfully clear. The typical waves that are usually massive were calm and the night unusually quiet making for a special moment in time unlike any other.
In order to stop the Coast Guard beacon in motion I had to set the camera to ISO 1600 and f/2.8. Even so, it was still a 3 second exposure so timing had to be perfect. I was a little worried about noise levels but the new Nikon D800E came through again. Even at ISO 1600 the noise was minimal.
I am really going to miss the annual lighting that normally takes place in November but lets hope they can get the repairs done quickly and the event will return in a few years. Pigeon Point Lighthouse is really stunning when the main Fresnel Lens is turned on.

Something's at the edge of your mind
You don't know what it is
Something you were hoping to find
But you're not sure what it is
Then you hear the music
And it all comes crystal clear
The music does the talking
Says the things you want to hear
I'm young, I'm wild and I'm free
Got the magic power of the music in me
