It had been a number of years since I last visited Lathkill Dale. In fact, I'd not visited the area since I made my switch to digital. I was aware that the usual Lathkill images include long exposures of silky smooth water flowing over mossy rocks, so I deliberately set out to create something different. Cropping in tightly on one of the many weirs, I opted for a fast shutter and shallow depth of field. The end result made the water look like crystal glass.
Who would of thought the Central coast could get this clear. After about an hour in the water early this morning, I was ready to get out but a small are of Foresters Beach was for some reason extremely clear. I'm super stoked with this image and aswell as all my other photos, it will be available at my Facebook shop.

The water around Guadalupe Island is very clear making it the best place for visibility to see these magnificent animals in their natural environment. For the story behind the shark photos and some photography tips go here bit.ly/davey05 #Sharkweek #Sharks #GreatWhites #whitesharks

The Hampshire Downs and Salisbury Plain give rise to crystal-clear streams, like, here, in Stockbridge, the River Test.
Chalk is a permeable aquifer that filters out impurities
to produce these lustrous, pure streams.
Brown Trout, Mallard Ducks and ducklings were here in this 50-metre stretch.
The town name is literally taken from the fact that one of the original wooden bridges across the river was made from wood taken from old Stocks, used to punish offenders of the law, hence, “Stockbridge.”
Essentially, a single High Street, the A.30 to the South-West of England, parts of buildings date back 700 years, but most
were built between the 17th. and 19th. Centuries.
Town Hall and Clock.
Spire of St. Peter’s Church.
Several hotels.
Restaurants, pubs and cafés, by the score.
A small but dignified town between the Cathedral
cities of Salisbury and Winchester.
What started innocently enough as a quick coffee run, turned into a forty mile road trip heading east in pursuit of sunrise. The skies were crystal clear and the temperature 16 degrees F, and while sunrise was impressive - it was this image of the full moonset I captured on the way back home that was the most rewarding for me. The snowcapped peaks you see are Broken Top, the Three Sisters, Black Butte, and Mt. Jefferson.

Taken along the Rubicon Trail between Emerald Bay and Bliss State Park on the western shores of Lake Tahoe. The lake's clear deep blue waters were an almost constant companion on this 4 mile hike.

Koh Lipe is the southernmost island of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. It is part of the Adang-Rawi archipelago. This archipelago forms, together with the Tarutao archipelago, the National Park Koh Tarutao. The Chao Lay live on the island. This is a tribe that lives mainly on the islands in the Andaman Sea. Although Koh Lipe is part of a national park, the inhabitants are only allowed to develop part of the island for tourism. All other islands is prohibit. On the car-free island there are a few narrow roads that connect the beaches, because that is what it is all about: enjoying the sun, sea and beach. The seawater is emerald green-blue and crystal clear. The island is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef with numerous beautiful tropical fish. With the longtail boat you sail to the most beautiful and best snorkling spots in the area. That it is a National Park means that the entire island is protected area. This is not for nothing, because nature here is really beautiful. Twenty years ago I had been here with my wife, together with our daughter back again. See photo from 1998.
Koh Lipe is a small island in the Southern part of the Thai Andaman Sea. It is famous for it's white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and bountyful marine life. The main transport hub for Koh Lipe is Pak Bara with daily speedboats boats running all year. This cluster of islands is part of the much larger Tarutao National Marine Park, a nature reserve established in 1974 as Thailand’s second National Park. It consists of about 50 islands and covers 1500 km². We visit Koh Lipe in the low season for peaceful, romantic walks along the deserted beach under the moonlight. Low season with rain but we had some holiday luck ;-) Our boatman takes us to the most beautiful and best snorkling spots near Koh Adang and area around Koh Lipe.

This is a birds view at the Tschaukofall, the highest waterfall in the Tscheppaschlucht. The whole canyon is a great place to explore and hike. But not only the canyon, the whole region in Carnica-Region Rosental is amazing and more or less my playground ;) <3
The glass isn't so clear in these, so the contents are more mysterious than the crystal clear Bodum jars I used for some others. They look like a dim early morning in the forest to me.

The basis for all life on our planet ... Water, fresh mountain water, crystal clear water, rejuvenating water, life giving water ...
The shot is not processed in any way, it is completely unaltered, this is the image that I actually saw as soon as that long exposure capture came out of my D90's SD memory card ...
On purpose I kept this very shot last, kind of as a capstone to the series of the last 8 consecutive shots of my photostream ... I wanted to show it to you, providing at the same time an additional small piece of information ... Kefalari of Drama, the wider area, is practically a flat, rather greenless area ... All the elegant, rather wild nature that you saw revealed at those last 8 shots, owes its very existence to the above seen liquid element, to this tiny little life giving creek ...
I named this shot liquid neon, because the blue light was actually vividly present in the atmosphere of that gloomy early morning of the 27th of November 2010 ...

A large stellar dendrite. The result of ground cloud (diamond dust) as it was clear and sunny when this complex crystal formed.
Had an UNBELIEVABLY awesome night with Saturn, tonight.
Skies were crystal clear and the atmospheric crud (read: upper-level disturbances) were at a minimum.
Through the eyepiece, this was one of the most stellar views of Saturn I've ever had. Almost religious in terms of the experience.
Using that homebrew 6x barlow was astoundingly beautiful!
Captured with a Nikon D5100 coupled to a 10-inch Meade LX200. Magnification for the sensor provided by a custom 6x barlow, plus a 2x Orion Shorty Plus barlow.
8,500 frames. Stacked in Autostakkert!2 and sharpened in Registax. Final color and enhancements done in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Normanby Island in North Queensland, Australia is part of the Frankland Islands 30 km south-west of Cairns Australia.
Could not have wished for a finer day than today. Blue skies, crystal clear warm waters, sunshine and many photography friends.

This morning I woke up on a high to discover yesterday's photo was Explored! Well, that high was quickly diminished when my princess took a tumble and hit her head on the corner of the bed. The sight of the blood freaked me out and thankful to my husband's quick thinking we applied pressure with a cloth and dashed to the ER. where we were asked to HAVE A SEAT. Four stitches and an X-ray later we were released with instrustions to monitor her closely. Here today gone tomorrow; nothing is promised not even our kids safety or lives. What and who are important to me is now Crystal Clear.
For ODC-HAVE A SEAT.
