At Lake Louise, Banff National Park. One of the most beautiful places in Canadian Rockies, I have ever visited..

Interior Architectural shots of the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City.

This shows how clear the water is in the beck at Elterwater. Looks OK in Large.

Taken just below the village of Elterwater, Langdale, Lake District.

It's a new moon, so the waves aren't high and don't lift sand from the bottom near the shore. The water is clear. Water temperature

80°F (26.6°C), are 90°F (32°C).

It was a rare moment in Antarctica when the wind just stopped, and nothing was moving. The air was as crystal clear as a diamond and the low light was soft so that there was no glare on the ice. Surrounds by the vast, empty space, it felt like the moment was frozen in Time. It was an awesome feeling. The zodiac was close enough to the ice shelf that I could use a 12mm lens. It accentuated the lines from the cliff and clouds, so they appear to extend far into the distance enhancing the feel of remoteness.

Koh Racha Yai also known as Raya island is a small island off the south coast of Phuket. Known for it's crystal clear blue waters and almost exclusive paradise for divers for years. Koh Racha Yai with its white sand beaches can be reached by speedboats from Phuket. Racha Yai is one of the nicest islands to simply get away from everything and relax. Water clarity and visibility is some of the best in Phuket. The water has a turquoise color and has a lot of marine life. The depths range from a few meters and deeper. The water is warm and inviting. Most snorkeling is done from speedboats. Once at Racha Yai your feet become your carriage. The island has a small network of dirt paths that link all of the beaches and resorts. You can easily walk from Ter Bay to Siam Beach and back again. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beaches on the other side of the island. More than eighty percent of the island still consists of dense jungle. Walking around some of the island's pathways you will be treated to views of wonderful coconut groves and the occasional water buffalo grazing nearby. Large reptiles are by no means new to Koh Racha, there have been large Asian water monitors here for years. There are no snakes on the island cause Monitor Lizards are eating snakes. These male can be up to 3 meters long.

The island of Racha is about 20 kilometers south of Phuket. The island has only a small commune. You will certainly appreciate this beautiful island! November to April is the best time for a visit to Koh Racha. June to October is the rainy season but it is still worth it. The Tualang is one of the tallest tropical rainforest tree species: the tallest measured specimen is 88 m. Like most tall rainforest trees it has huge buttress roots to support its weight. This is because the majority of the nutrients in rainforest soil are very near the surface, making large spreading roots more effective than deep ones.

It had been a number of years since I last visited Lathkill Dale. In fact, I'd not visited the area since I made my switch to digital. I was aware that the usual Lathkill images include long exposures of silky smooth water flowing over mossy rocks, so I deliberately set out to create something different. Cropping in tightly on one of the many weirs, I opted for a fast shutter and shallow depth of field. The end result made the water look like crystal glass.

It's amazing how difficult it is to get this just right. I can't tell for sure, but on the upload screen it does not look very white, yet I can assure you all that the whites around the glass are 98.8 - 100% white. A good studio exercise that's lot's of fun, and has generated a whole bunch of ideas.
