Crystal clear water of Andamans viewed during low tide revealing the corals and the silver sands below
This is my favorite secret lake located near Whistler, BC, Canada. This lake is about two hours drive from Vancouver, and it is surrounded by high mountains that are usually covered in snow. My wife and I spent three days boating around this lake exploring every little cove and bay. It was an unforgettable trip. Nothing but the sound of silence.
And now....holidays are over and it is back to work on Monday. Stress, email, Blackberry, meetings, expectations, commitments, schedules, timelines, deadlines and overtime. When I am in the heat of battle, I will think back to the still, quiet memories of this lake.
Deepak Taal (el. 3,750 m) is a small lake, about 50 kms from Keylong along with Leh- Manali highway (NH-21).

A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour. Just like Helen of Troy, she's worth fighting a ten year war for! :)

All the best on your Epic Hero's Journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy!
Modeling the black & gold Celtic Cross and "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits, shirts, & lingerie with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:
herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
All The Best on your EPIC hero's journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy! :)
Falling in love with the full frame 36 megapixel e mount Sony A7R!
The books behind the pretty goddess on the Malibu beach hut and surfboard are The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbon, Homer's Iliad, Homer's Odyssey, Shakespeare, and Herman Melville's Moby Dick! My favorite books! Will have some video of the pretty model reading them beside a campfire soon.
They're all collectors editions! My books cost as much as my surfboards!
And for those who always ask, I shoot in RAW! Always! :)

The forecast for sunrise not 8 hours before was crystal clear skies. Wrong, so wrong. I was hoping for some patchy clouds this particular morning to help pick up the early colors, but a completely cloudy sky dulled what color we had. The cloud cover was very thin and for about 10 minutes we saw some patchy, intermittent spots of pink dot the slightly blue clouds. Even if it is cloudy, that early morning blue is such a great backdrop.
This was taken from the first overlook on the Virginia side of Great Falls Park. 30 second exposure.

I'm still on a Chihuly high . . . and when I think of Helen Keller not being able to see this magnificent brilliance, my eyes fill with tears. Yet her faith and lack of sight strengthened her spirit and soul. I feel so blessed to have all my senses, and never take them for granted . . . they are as special as my rare friends who, along with me, tread lightly on this beautiful path called life.
“Treat your friends as you do your best pictures, and place them in their best light.”
~ Jennie Jerome Churchill ~
“Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.”
~ Helen Keller ~
“In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light,
and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness.
Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi ~
"Bai Sao", one of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.
It has pure white sand and crystal clear water and still remain untouched!
The water was crystal clear and the white sand under the surface was reflecting the sunlight. It was perfectly temperate for a swim.
Is "Crystal clear" a metaphor or a simile?
A Metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable eg “I had fallen through a trapdoor of depression"
A Simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid e.g "as brave as a lion"

We sailed from Sesuit Harbor just after noon with perfect weather, good times, and the best lobster rolls I've ever had. They were HUGE!

Captured panorama of False Creek at night, not a ripple to be seen. Part of my night series Yaletown over the weekend. I really like this one,,again minimal processing, decreased the color temperature and sharpness,
Strobist info: A Sigma 530 DG Super kept on the right of the subject was fired towards a blue reflector held over the water at an oblique angle. The flash was triggered optically by the on-camera flash.
A wee 40 shot startrail at the Ness lighthouse.
They're a bit bitty thanks to the cloud that kept sweeping past, which of course cleared for crystal clear skies once I left.............
