Stopped at Kerry Park on the way home last night since I hadn't been there in a while. The place was packed with people. It was pretty nice to see the mountain out even though I would have liked to see a few clouds in the sky. The drive home was fun. I stopped at a gas station about 3 miles from my house and couldn't get my car started again. Needless to say I had to call AAA and finally got home at 11:30. Today has been spent trying to figure that one out, but no such luck to this point. Appears to be some sort of electrical problem. Great!!!
The light yesterday was incredibly intense, one of those crystal clear days.
This particular tree is in a neighbour's garden at the end of the lane, a garden I actually hadn't gone into before.
Yes folks, there ARE a few gardens where I haven't scampered around!!
Its not very often that I can say SOOC but I was thrilled to bits when this popped up on screen as the intense light is how I saw it.
Particularly intrigued by the light on the tree as it looks like reflected light as if someone is holding a giant mirror in front of it.
You can all breathe a sigh of relief, naughty angel has had her fun lol.

An early morning hike up to the serene beauty of this refreshing falls in Fujinomiya was simply breathtaking with the crystal clear stream.
Visibility to the Tianshan wasn't usually this good. 8173 on the left pushing a load of spoil up onto the tipping area at Xibolizhan and 8078 drawing a load of empties away on 22 November 2012.

This bad boy was rising early in the evening, when Sam came and told to bring out the camera. I slapped the teleconverter on and the rest is digital history.

Taken at base camp of Mt Ampato at around 5000m. The sky was incredibly clear, unfortunately it was also very cold. Overnight water bottles froze inside the Jeep.
No freezing rain in Leith during the big storm, but apparently some stuck around us. This was taken on my way to Keady on Christmas Eve.

This was part of a shop at the local Ren. Faire here. They sell crystal hanging ornaments and jewelry. It's all very pretty!
(I bought a snowflake crystal necklace from them, but I don't have a photo of it yet).
This is what you get if you put a quartz crystal into a glass of water and hold it against the kitchen window :-)
Have got a danish visitor staying at the moment, so we were out looking at some of the local creeks and waterfalls. Most of the creeks are running with water filled with sediment, but this little one was crystal clear.
The temperatures at the moment are around the mid 30c degrees, so should have poked a toe in to check the waters, but didn't. ;-) Looked nice and cool though.

Water (H2O) is the most abundant compound on Earth's surface, covering about 70% of the planet's surface. In nature it exists in liquid, solid, and gaseous states. It is in dynamic equilibrium between the liquid and gas states at standard temperature and pressure.
At room temperature, it is a tasteless and odorless liquid, nearly colorless with a hint of blue. Many substances dissolve in water and it is commonly referred to as the universal solvent. Because of this, water in nature and in use is rarely pure and some of its properties may vary slightly from those of the pure substance. However, there are many compounds that are essentially, if not completely, insoluble in water. Water is the only common substance found naturally in all three common states of matter and it is essential for life on Earth. Water usually makes up 55% to 78% of the human body.
