We were in this old warehouse walking down the stairs going into this basement. We turned the corner and almost walked into this crystal clear flooded basement. What made us pause was the light bulb and cardboard floating. The basement has to have at least 7ft to 8ft of water. It was pretty creepy to see water that clear that it was almost not there... Is "crystal clear" a metaphor or a simile?
A Metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable eg “I had fallen through a trapdoor of depression"
A Simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid e.g "as brave as a lion"
Alpsee near Schwangau - one of the most beautiful places in Germany. The swan is the symbol of the region. This one was there on duty to take pictures with the tourists :-).
My amazement at transparent creatures never ceases. Ironically enough, I'm starting to see my life in the same way: clearly and in constant amazement of how incredible it can be. I'm truly lucky to have the life I live and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mackie sculpt Snow White Barbie head on a Fashionistas Swappin’ Styles body, everything airbrushed with Polly S green paint and sealed with a combination of Purity Seal and Krylon Crystal Clear. I really don’t like painting on top of paint, because a lot of my normal painting technique involves scraping off mistakes, which…doesn’t work in this situation, but I’m not too unhappy with how it turned out (eyebrows, though. Ugh.) She’s wearing a Barbie dress from the mid 1990s.
