Distington about to go over for the game-breaking try at Solway Park during a 32-28 victory over Ellenborough Rangers in the Premier Division of amateur rugby league's Cumberland League. The visitors, who outscored Rangers six tries to five, led 10-0 after eight minutes of the Maryport fixture but Rangers responded with four tries to open up a 22-10 half-time advantage. Two tries early in the second half saw Distington close to within two points. Although Rangers crossed again, the visitors secured the win, and remained unbeaten in the league, courtesy of two further tries, the second nine minutes from the end of normal time.

after teasing you a few weeks ago with a tail it's high time i posted a full shot of the ring tailed lemurs who i hung out with in madagascar. they were really close to our final campsite in andringitra and with the help of our guide we timed our walk perfectly to meet them. it was a particularly hot and cloudless day and by the time we first saw them i was already very sweaty and low on water. despite this dehydration i happily spent well over an hour watching them walk, run and jump around the place. actually happy is somewhat of an understatement, they were the main reason why i'd travelled to the remote island and seeing them in their natural habitat was completely transfixing.
here's the original

Part of my final project for my first BFA photography course at Arizona State University. My project, called Coming & Going, includes three elements. First, using the photographic version of a pentimento (in this case, double exposures). Second, paying homage to one of Thomas Struth's first exhibits, which featured photos of streets in New York City and his hometown of Dusseldorf (in my case, New York City and Des Moines). Finally, based on a project proposed by Alec Soth, combine a photograph with some basic descriptive text, and then consider whether it's better with or without the words.
