An RBW job which has been progressing as and when time permitted is this ex Southern National flat screened Bristol RE / ECW.
HDV626E is now in the final stages of restoration and hopefully up-grade to PSV status thereby allowing its return to base at Weston super Mare before long. Because of pressure of work, shorage of staff and minimalist facilities, unfortunately its taken a lot longer than planned but all being well, it will be worth it in the end.
I have to say that I remeber these buses being delivered new at Weymouth. Many a happy childhood family holiday was spent there and catching the Southern National Bowleaze Cove bus back to my Aunt and Uncle's house high up on the hill above Preston would involve this summer only service which primarily served the Pontin's camp. Oh, I haven't twiddled with the destination, that's how it arrived ... coincidence eh?
Quite literally in as built condition, Fastrack liveried ARRIVA Kent Thameside 4317 (to be registered GN15 CXP) is seen stored with many of its sisters in the yard at Southend garage awaiting vinyls and transfer to Northfleet prior to acceptance into traffic. Tuesday 28th July 2015.
I could visually see fourteen members of the fleet on site, with 4306, 4308,4309, 4310, 4313, 4315, 4316, 4319, 4320 and one unidentified vehicle all complete with branding and logos applied. Plus 4305, 4311, 4317 and one unidentified vehicle in as built condition awaiting the application of branding and logos.
Twenty one of these Wrightbus Sreetlites built to Sapphire specification have been ordered to replace the current Fastrack fleet from August 2015.

this is a shot from bempton cliffs the other day
it was a fabulous day and a stunning place, there are puffins, razorbills, guillemots, kittiwakes and fulmars – but to be honest im spoilt by these on the farns each year – so i especially go for the gannets
such stunning birds, and so big! perching on the sheer faces of the cliffs, and in flight they are stunning to watch!
also – the dots you can see in the sea below are other birds on the surface of the water!
(so apologies in advance if there are a lot of these to come!)
for anyone who hasn’t been to bempton cliffs, they are a sheer rock face on the coast that is a huge breading colony for a number of different species of birds. the reserve is round the top of the cliffs so you can look down at the birds coming into their nest after being out at sea feeding

Blue hour homecoming, after two weeks of Christmas train travel through parts of Europe.
Six countries, sixteen days, and staying with friends in Luxembourg for six of those days.
Kornsjø at the border, where the Gothenburg – Oslo train enters Norway. Sweden on the left, Norway on the right.
A rare visitor to O'Hare is this KLM 747-400F Freighter. Coming in on a less then ideal day, had to deal with the weather. Luckily an errand had me going out this way when I got the news.
Coming off the top of Scafell pike.
We weren't going down to the tarns you can see ahead but rather across to the right and up another two peaks before making our final descent.

The silhouette of the engineer on the far end of CSX River Sub local C712 gives away the fact that it is moving away from the photographer and headed for work in Rockland County N.Y. Dunderberg Mountain rises 1,086 feet above the river and is located at the southern end of the Hudson Highlands. That horizontal line that cuts across near its top is the remains of a failed railroad attempt to cross the Hudson River at Bear Mountain N.Y. Leading the train south on the far end is GP38-2 2780 ex Conrail 8024 and trailing is GP38-2 2719 ex PC 8050. Near 41 Signal Iona Island N.Y. 01-16-2013. Howard Kent Jr.
This "split personality sky" made me wonder whether the storm was coming my way or going away...

Este "céu com dupla personalidade" deixou-me na dúvida: a tempestade estava a aproximar-se ou a afastar-se de mim?

Here the heritage diesel is living out old memories as she approaches Bury Bolton Street at the East Lancashire Railway Winter Diesel Gala. I took the picture with my Panasonic G7 digital camera on the 18th February 2017.
