The objective of the First International Reggae Poster Contest is to continue to build awareness for Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its positive impact on the world. The term Reggae encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem. The Poster competition is part of a bigger vision to build a Reggae Hall of Fame in Kingston, Jamaica.

A Spring view coming home from work today. I drive this way all the time but it never fails to provide some new scenes! I can't wait to get out and get some pics! I went into Missoula today and seen so many things I'd like to photograph...so maybe this weekend if the weather cooperates!!! Have a nice evening everyone! :) Maybe one of these days I'll catch a sunrise!!!

I haven't had so much fun building from instruction since the Saturn V Rocket, and that one wasn't even a train, so Doubleplus kudos for Tony for designing this thing and making the instructions available.
What I mostly enjoy is seeing how my fellow Trainheads design and build their Legos, and these instructions are a great way to show this. There are literally dozens of little building techniques in this model where I pause for a second and think "hmm, I would have done this totally different!" or "wow, I'd never come up with this solution!". So, that means time well spend if you ask me!
With the mild weather this weekend (60 today) its hard to believe that we are nearing the end of November. This was taken at Onota Lake in Pittsfield, Ma.

One of BNSF '25th Anniversary' locomotives, #5872, backs into the locomotive pit at Galesburg after leading an inbound manifest.
In 2020, BNSF decorated ten ES44AC's with the logos of its predecessor railroads, both on the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe sides, to celebrate the railroad's 25th anniversary. In September, it will be turning thirty!

The brakes are starting to heat up as CN 5563 South dives into the Lake Superior Basin., approaching Waldo, MN on Labor Day 2011. CN 5563, DMIR 404, and 407 have Minntac pellets for Two Harbors just 7 miles ahead. The 5563 will stop in a few miles, just south of Waldo, to recharge the air, before heading down the steepest part of the grade on the old southbound main into the yard.

In Search of Spring Beautys in the Woods of Virginia.

I knew we were in for a rain storm, today, so I went out for a bit yesterday to grab some shots before the heavy weather stripped the trees. I just like this bus coming up a steep country road. Possibly nostalgic (though most students here used school buses, I didn't. Here's a tip: don't move across the continent to a small town, and then find out that your mom is going to be your teacher!)

They're coming to take me away Ha Ha...They're coming to take me away ho ho he he ha ha...to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time, and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming to take me away ha ha!
Phase1 - Flashover Training, Kentucky Fire Commission, State Fire Rescue Training.
We came across this training in Newport, Kentucky. They told us we were free to photograph and one fireman helped us get up close. Approximately ten firemen stayed in a smoke filled box for about a half hour.
The sun setting means evening is coming and it triggers the wildlife to make ready for night. There is a corn field just over the trees and it is getting filled with Canada Geese looking for scraps of food left from the harvest. There are still a number of ducks on the lake enjoying the evening. The humans will be heading home for a warm evening of food and TV.
