Christmas is coming QUICK! Only 6 days away now! Is everyone ready? I am not... I haven\'t really done anything. Unfortunately, that\'s the way it worked out this year. Not only are we in "lock-down" kind of.. but I am in quarantine.. So I\'m not allowed to go out and shop. Not to mention the fact that I\'ve missed A LOT of work recently due to my back and NOW quarantine.. So, it\'s just going to be very simple this year.
Christmas isn\'t supposed to be about gifts though.. It\'s supposed to be a celebration because of Jesus\'s birthday. And giving to those in need.. *which, we should be doing all year anyway.. if we are able to*.
This year I am going to be grateful for my health and my family. The fact that they came thru this horrible sickness, alive, is the best Christmas gift that I could have ever gotten.
& Also, the fact that so far inside my house-hold we haven\'t YET gotten sick. *We were exposed & waiting on results*. But, so far *fingers crossed* No sickness in my home. .. and that\'s the best gift I could have gotten this year. Amen.

We'll be checking in on the Metro City residents and learning
1) where Mona Daughtery finally found employment,
2) why Maddy "Rat" Langland is appearing on an official "Wanted" poster,
3) why Squeaky seems distraught -- or bored? -- and
4) why Penny Hobbs is clutching her La La Loopsy at KDON Radio and Law.
There is never a dull moment in our town/two rooms! :)
Here is another set of hummingbirds from the summer of 2022. It won't be too much longer before they return to the mountains and foothills of Colorado.
Just happened to catch the cruise ship Carnival Freedom, coming into port at Nassau. Loved the wave runners in the foreground.

I have a Whitby Steampunk Article about the recent festival due for publication on Macfilos either later this week, or early next week - depends on other articles around it.

With this photo I'll say goodbye for at least 2 weeks, tomorrow I'll be traveling to my favorite city... Paris, with the only hope of capturing some great pictures to share and keep, taking all my equipment with me, I hope me and all of the equipment returns safely home :b

A woodsy path at night connects two subdivisions and the street lights nearby offered just enough extra light for this 1.3 second exposure...We had a wonderful pre-Christmas snowfall that turned everything white and wonderful, and then it all disappeared for a week. But we have about 8 inches of fresh stuff tonight with more on the way tomorrow..it is so pretty when you don't have to drive somewhere.....my husband laughs at me when I say I hope we get a "snow day" on Monday so I don't have to go back to school yet... :-)
