The sun had gone down, the ferry turned in the harbour of Dunkirk... we were on our way home, both sad and happy. Leaving friends and family behind... till we meet again, not knowing when...

I spent many years on local roads and often enough, in weather like this. Cant really say I enjoyed that part of the job and these days, I tend to pick and choose times with more reasonable weather for driving.
There was indeed a car coming when I tripped the shutter here but you have to look carefully to see it. Mother nature did the high key effect without any help from me.
Pretty as a picture with their pale colours, vintage roses to brighten the day.
