There's a hell of a lot wrong with this photo. Compositionally it's a complete mess (I couldn't get any closer because of a wire fence). There's simply too much in it that make the eyes bounce around. But although I didn't really want to post it there's something about this image that keeps drawing me back. I think it's the vibrantly green lichen that has covered this fallen tree, giving it new life. And of course the early morning sunlight that makes it glow.
It's a weird one. But not every photo needs to be framed, and in my mind it somehow manages to capture beauty amongst the chaos.
"Architecture can't fully represent the chaos and turmoil that are part of the human personality, but you need to put some of that turmoil into the architecture, or it isn't real."

With a rumble echoing across the region, the volcanic plug domes walls began to slide in what must have been a tremendous sight three hundred years ago. Although, anyone standing in view would have been pulverized by the millions of tons of stone hurtling towards them. Traveling at a hundred miles per hour, the debris was likely carried on a cushion of compressed air, lubricating itâs decent, allowing it to spread out over two miles and climb four hundred feet up the far side of the valley.
Here you see two adjacent rides at the Ventura County Fair. Trying to include both in the same composition was a challenge, something like using Chaos theory.

Chaos~ Lifeboat for detritus...
When I saw this challenge, I thought of this cup. Years ago it broke. Voice from the Couch glued it back together so how could I throw it out.

I could stare at the dance of water in a fountain for a fair piece of time.
Seeing the various shapes that the chaos combination of water and gravity create is fascinating.
Here, I've stopped time, showing the shape of that moment. See the droplets hanging in air?
Fun stuff.

The anxiety and exhaustion a complex brings, is hard to explain. Chaos in the calmness, overthinking and not thinking at the same time and the guilt of even feeling. Trying to figure it all out and balancing everything and anything.
I miss the ceiling fan. They could also be seen on the ceilings of trains when there were no air conditioners.
One lesson I learnt this weekend. - you can never go wrong with monsoon clouds just before the sun sets for the day. I have listened to a lot of people saying that the best light comes after a storm, only to notice it myself this Sunday. After cursing myself for not making it to the beach on Saturday, mother nature just gave me a 2nd chance on Sunday.
I just kept the shutter open just a little longer to capture the waves making their way on to the shores, trying to create a similar mood as the chaotic monsoon clouds set ablaze by the setting sun.
