Photography project: had to photograph different words this was Chaos

I love the juxtaposition between the geometric patterns on the side walk and the seeming random chaos of the tree branches above.

Aufführung der Laienspielschar Ebersgöns

Both times that I've visited Door County I've ended up in this area on Newport State Park. Its the most southerly point of Duck bay and an area that probably hardly anyone ever visits, and yet I've been twice. But its because no-one ever visits it that you can get these completely natural undisturbed areas of woodland, totally overgrown, tree limbs everywhere, and like everything in photography, its the light and in this case the color that creates organization from chaos and a scene worth making a frame of. We had very little cloud while in Door, but coupled with the colour, I thought it worked pretty well.

Fractals

Patterns (real or mathematical) which look similar at different scales, for example the network of airways in the lung which shows similar branching patterns at progressively higher magnifications. Natural fractals are self-similar across a finite range of scales.

Unprecedented chaos: everything gone!

Wuppertal, Germany

In an unprecedented event that turned the city of Wuppertal on its head, the long-awaited WUMILA model railway exhibition opened with a rush of visitors that will go down in history. Thousands of model train enthusiasts flocked to the city, resulting in a 100-kilometer-long line of cars that snaked through the "Bergisches Land" region like a miniature version of a rail network.

The event, which was planned as a quiet gathering of model train enthusiasts, quickly turned into a chaotic spectacle when almost all the locomotives and wagons on display mysteriously disappeared. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a horde of “miniature railroad ghosts” with tiny trains under their arms, leading to speculation as to whether an army of Ant-Man-like thieves was at work.

Despite the chaos and loss of exhibits, however, WUMILA was able to find a silver lining. The entrance fees collected during the tumultuous opening day were so astronomical that the organizers announced they had enough funds to keep the exhibition closed for the next ten years - a paradoxical success that begs the question of whether it was the cleverest marketing stunt ever.

The Wuppertal police have set up a special task force to find the missing miniature trains and have asked the public for help. They are asking people to keep an eye out for suspiciously small clouds of steam on the horizon and to report any evidence of tiny track work.

In the meantime, the managers, together with the city of Wuppertal, are planning to use the unexpected income to develop a new transport system consisting exclusively of model trains. This innovative concept could be the answer to urban transportation problems while paying homage to the beloved miniature locomotives that put Wuppertal at the center of the world for a day.
