Definetly a very common sight in other places but not in Spain.

Eventhough we supposedly got this in Europe, (this is actually a EU-spec one) Spain was not one of the countries in the list. This is an import, plates from 2007.

Currently for sale on Autotrader's website, price of this has dropped quite quickly from being well over £1000. 71k miles, plenty of life left in yet. Must get one of these some day.

Previous spot, I've now seen it around a few times on the move. Bonus glimpse of something in the background, didn't realise I'd caught it was well until I edited this shot. Photo of that one to come...

Don't often see the facelift versions of these. Sadly I think they're a bit beyond what I'll have to spend when I hope to get one at some point soon.

Bought for £635 from a dealers in Leicester. One owner from new, 82k miles, year's MoT, tidy enough to be respectable but not so smart I don't want to use it for carrying building materials, doing the dump run etc as we continue to do work on the house.

Fellow Autoshite member Rootes_Arrow1725 (LeicesterVehiclePhotography on here) viewed it on my behalf, I went up by train yesterday to collect it. I'm more than happy with it, drove really well on the 120-mile journey home, and also used it for work today.

Might swap the V6 alloys onto it, and I need to sort out the radio/speakers, other than that so far I can find little that needs attention.

Extremely rare here, not sure if they actually sold any, if they did, it was just a handful.

This one had 2004 plates so obviously imported at some point.

Mid 80s Toyota Camry sedan in brown.

Interesting juxtaposition, with the newish Camry pulling this classic caravan.

I have seen so many of these lately that it's about time to start photographing them. I find them pretty easy on the eyes compared to the next generations. I think I've become fond of them a little bit.

This one has some interesting characteristics. Such as the dent in the driver door. The black reflective plate between the taillights. Usually I see them have either the same colour as the body paint or the same colour as the taillamps.

I will try to get some shots of the usually spotted Camry's. I think Spottedlaurel will like this.

Not often I see two Camry's near one another but to see two Camry's only a facelift apart.

"The interior of the Lowrider Camry is just as spectacular with a custom-fabricated fiberglass interior created by Shot Callers Customs in Rialto, California. California Upholstery hand-stitched the interior. With a hydraulics setup installed by Laid Out Customs and provided by CCE Hydraulics; 5.20x14 Lowrider tires by Coker; and fully functional iPod embedded in the steering wheel, four monitors and a state-of-the-art sound system provided by Pioneer with eight speakers and two amplifiers, no aspect of the Lowrider Camry project was overlooked. The Lowrider Camry truly represents the latest evolution of technology for the automotive industry."

Oh, what a feeling.

Now where can I get one of those?

Interesting Toyota duo parked up by coincidence, neither of which exactly common here in the UK.

Update Nov 2013: Though I don't remember seeing it around in the intervening six years, I caught sight of this Paseo tonight. Still looking to be in good condition. No record of the Camry on DVLA though, suggesting it has been scrapped and a Certificate of Destruction issued.

About as simple and clear as it gets!

For the Americans, that tankful of fuel cost me £63 to fill up...

"VERY SMOOTH STAFF. VERY PERSONABLE."

My car on Saturday, at exhaust specialists Power & Performance up near Norwich. Flexi near the front of the system was split and starting to get noisy, possibly because the car is lowe and that was the lowest point? Due to unavailability and/or price of exhausts generally on these I shall probably get whole system done in stainless (but hopefully not yet, for the sake of my finances). It's going in for a service at the local garage tomorrow.

This car was smashed about a year ago. The owner still drives it, As Is.

I'm guessing it to be around a 2001-2005 era?

Another local Camry caught! I think the 14" wheels they stuck on the 2.2 saloons look rather puny. Note peeling lacquer, perhaps due to a replacement wing? DVLA lists this as green, which I suppose it is in the light.

I'd seen it here before and was gutted not to have my camera with me, and finally managed to capture it after several subsequqnt visits. At least that means it's still in use (DVLA says taxed until 05/2010).

"The Lowrider Camry (or 'Camryder') built by Lowrider Magazine is a fusion of heritage, technology and cultures. As Toyota celebrates its 50th anniversary in the United States, Camry is the #1 best-selling car in America. As much as Camry is a part of the American landscape, Lowrider has also shaped the American automotive car scene with its distinctive look and styling cues. Outfitted with hydraulics, the Lowrider Camry sports a 'suicide' two-door, convertible style that is meant to redefine the Lowrider genre in the same way that Camry has made an impact on its proud owners and drivers."

I recently paid off the loan on my car.

Now the estate has donated its wheels and tyres to the Sport, I had to swap these across to keep it mobile. I'll keep them for any future trackday activities, but have ne desire to use them on the road again - if nothing else, I can't risk damaging another one on a pothole.

I think they actually look better on this than they did on the Sport.

Very nice fifth generation of the Toyota Camry sold in North America that I was lucky to spot in Santander (Cantabria).

It had a plate from 2004 so obviously too new for it, I guess that was probably the year it was imported in.

It was nice to spot it, I really like the gold insignias.
