Bright red Toyota Camry spotted inside a long time empty block near Chinatown Adelaide.

Popular in its day, the station wagon market has been replaced by crossover utility vehicles, i.e. passenger car-based utility vehicles. But I wish that the US market offered wagons in numbers of even one-fourth of the offerings of SUV/CUVs available today.

As the 3pm train crests the summit just north of Orbisonia on the return trip south, the photographer's car can be seen to the right. Both Mikado #16 and the 1999 Toyota Camry are considered vintage at this point. May 12, 2023.

2023 is off to a great start with this first spot of the year.

Saw this while stopped at a light.

Looked pretty good with one missing wheel cover.

Purchased this today, seven years after I left my number with the owner......

More info to come soon.

This version of the Toyota Camry was built from 2014 until 2017. It was not sold in most of Europe. This one is from Odesa, Ukraine.

My favourite car of the day! A pleasure to meet the owner Mark and talk to him about his Camry, a recent purchase from an Anglia Car Auctions sale.

Monty the stray cat rests on the bonnet of my Toyota Camry after his evening meal. 6:15pm, Sunday the 23rd of October, 2016.

The sixth generation of the Toyota Camry, built from 2006 until 2011, was not sold in most of Europe. This North American model is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine with 272 PS. It's now registered in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

Catching up with this car and having a chat with the owner made for an excellent start to 2021. He's just the second owner and it's now done 190,000 miles. Sold new by Bristo's of Ipswich, where he used to work for many years.

We swapped numbers, in case he ever needs parts or wants to move it on, but he seems committed to it for a while yet.

So much better looking than the bumper/grille of the Camry Hybrid, the only Camry which is sold in Europe (excluding some countries in the East).

In great shape for the age and mileage.

The second generation of the Toyota Camry was built from 1986 until 1991. This is a model with a 2.0 litre 16-valve engine.

Off the road from 2010 to late 2016, with an initially impressive fail list, it's thankfully still legally viable with an MOT in December 2018 showing around 87k.

This was 'local', and I saw it a couple of times after this first sighting, but not for quite a while now. I don't know any other Camry estates here.

Pleasing to see this one, although with its understated looks I almost missed it.

First registered here only last year - I wonder what market it's from? It was RHD.

Were these sold officially in Hungary? If not then they're a very popular import, I saw three on my trip

Second Genesis taxi I've seen! My front end came out horrible, so not worth uploading! I want to retake this one sometime.

Great o see one of this generation in such god condition, and particularly unusual with it being a diesel.

Original registration for this was E711UKN.

75 of these on the UK roads, 30 of them is manual which this one is.

Master SL found this one recently, it looks like I've trained him up well!

The Mot history shows that it was off-road from 2011/12 until the beginning of 2023.

The second generation of the Toyota Camry was built from 1986 until 1991. This is a model with a 2.0 litre 16-valve engine.

The second generation of the Toyota Camry in North America was built between 1986 and 1991. From 1988 onwards this model was also built in the USA.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled universals :-) This is a fake 2002-06 Camry.

The first generation of the Toyota Camry was introduced in Europe in 1983. It was Toyota's first front wheel driven car in this class. It was sold until 1986.

The third generation of the Toyota Camry in North America was built between 1991 and 1996. This model, built in Kentucky, quickly was one of the best-selling cars in the USA at that time.
