Odd to see a 'normal' one, I'm used to the stance of my similar-coloured Sport.

This one taxed until 2012 - someone buying a year's tax usually suggests they're a long-term owner.

Sadly, circumstances dictated that this one has had to go. I'd ended up with four cars taxed, insured and MoTed, three of them being Toyota Camrys. With ever-continuing bills and the need to cart things around, the estate I bought in the summer is better-suited to daily use so this one got put up for sale.

After no luck on car forums, I put it on Gumtree this morning and less than 12hrs later it'd gone. Friendly chap got the train up from London and has just driven off, it seems likely that it'll go for export to Nigeria after he's used it for a bit. Suits me fine, it was an easy sale, he wasn't overly fussy and I'm sure someone will appreciate it.

Now slightly less sporty with 15" wheels and trims off the estate, which luckily still have a decent amount of tread to keep me going for a while without spending more money.

If I get the local V6 Camry then I'll use the alloys off that. But the 17" wheels won't be going back on, the ride is so much better with 15's and the uprated suspension still gives me a sharp enough drive.

Bootlid won’t be much use to me! Apparently he backed it into a skip on his own driveway...

Shame that such a solidly built interior will soon be squashed. Interesting to see that it appears to have A/C fitted.

Not a car I'd seen around before, but when it came up for sale on eBay with a local dealer I had to nip in for a look. With 75k and apparently one owner they're asking £1695 - undoubtedly a good car and with many years in it yet, but I think they'll struggle to sell it at that price.

It's interesting for being a facelift model, locally registered (sold new by Richard Nash in Norwich) and fairly low-spec. I think the 2.2 was available with leather and alloy wheels at this time.

Had a couple of these style Camrys when I first gave up company cars eight years ago. Nice and smooth, if a little uninvolving. Think I preferred the 2.0 version.

Krakow. The new Camry Mk.9 (XV80) - for sale in Eastern Europe.

This was taken at the RSPCA Million Paws Walk, Canberra.

This car belongs to my friend. Unfortunately, the 2.0 engine broke down and there are no spare parts...

An unexpected purchase over the Bank Holiday weekend, I've seen this regularly only a few miles up the road and had left a note on it over a year ago.

Owner had been offered only a small amount as a trade-in against a van, in reality scrap money, and wanted it go to a decent home and to get a bit more for it if he could. Although it's not great timing, with the purchase of a V6 estate due soon and more work being needed on the house, I was able to oblige...

Once I'd viewed it and got some cash out he was even able to drive it to mine, so I had no insurance issues to deal with. Tax just expired and MoT due very soon, but it doesn't seem to want for much so I'll take it to the garage for their verdict and hopefully get it on the road. Certainly drives well, and it's old enough to go on my classic insurance policy.

Maybe it'll eventually become a spares car for the estate, or I'll just sell it on, but for now I'd rather keep using it to avoid the brakes going sticky etc.

Red Bumper, Pink Hood, Blue Door... I bet the owner of this car is a... colorful character (rimshot)

Did you know that the name Camry came from the Japanese word Kanmuri which means Crown.

Currently for sale on Autotrader's website, price of this has dropped quite quickly from being well over £1000. 71k miles, plenty of life left in yet. Must get one of these some day.

Previous spot, I've now seen it around a few times on the move. Bonus glimpse of something in the background, didn't realise I'd caught it was well until I edited this shot. Photo of that one to come...

Don't often see the facelift versions of these. Sadly I think they're a bit beyond what I'll have to spend when I hope to get one at some point soon.

Bought for £635 from a dealers in Leicester. One owner from new, 82k miles, year's MoT, tidy enough to be respectable but not so smart I don't want to use it for carrying building materials, doing the dump run etc as we continue to do work on the house.

Fellow Autoshite member Rootes_Arrow1725 (LeicesterVehiclePhotography on here) viewed it on my behalf, I went up by train yesterday to collect it. I'm more than happy with it, drove really well on the 120-mile journey home, and also used it for work today.

Might swap the V6 alloys onto it, and I need to sort out the radio/speakers, other than that so far I can find little that needs attention.

Extremely rare here, not sure if they actually sold any, if they did, it was just a handful.

This one had 2004 plates so obviously imported at some point.

Interesting juxtaposition, with the newish Camry pulling this classic caravan.

I have seen so many of these lately that it's about time to start photographing them. I find them pretty easy on the eyes compared to the next generations. I think I've become fond of them a little bit.

This one has some interesting characteristics. Such as the dent in the driver door. The black reflective plate between the taillights. Usually I see them have either the same colour as the body paint or the same colour as the taillamps.

I will try to get some shots of the usually spotted Camry's. I think Spottedlaurel will like this.

Not often I see two Camry's near one another but to see two Camry's only a facelift apart.
