Hand crafted button molds. Buttons are cast and finished by hand. Finished buttons were donated to the Monroe County Historical Museum (Monroe, MI) and given as gifts.

My mum brought some of my grandmother's buttons from Russia. I remember looking through grandma's tin of buttons everytime we visited, which was only once every few years. She was great at sewing. I wish I knew her better.

Buttons is still awake, but not for long.

Day 12 of my 365 Project: I finally got around to replacing my mouse. The new mouse has 13 buttons. What do you do with 13 buttons on a mouse??? You click them, of course!

This button fairy is attached to an ATC with some ribbon and may be detached for hanging. I used the same image which was provided for this week's MAMMA trade.

A friend at work wears this necklace from time to time. Leigh Anne had a large collection of buttons from her mother and wasn't sure what to do with them, so her sister, Lisa, crocheted them into a necklace.

Chain 200 and return to single crochet (SC) in first 35 stitches. (This chain will now be referred to as the necklace.)

 

Row 1 - 1 button

In 21st stitch, 2 SC, loop in button, 2SC, return to necklace and SC in next four stitches.

 

Row 2 - 2 buttons

In next stitch, 2 SC, loop in button, 2 SC, loop in button, 2 SC and return to necklace and SC in next four stitches.

Finish necklace with SC to the end and the tie off with button and connect with opposite side’s loop and knot off.

 

Well, I've got buttons, lots of buttons.

 

I got these from the same apartment that I was treasure hunting in a while ago. I am so lucky to suddenly just get these things. The first thing I did was (of course) to pour the entire contents of the box all over the floor to look at every single button.

 

Although I do not really know what I'm going to use the buttons for, I'm pretty sure there will be no problem to get god used them. It's always nice to have some extra lying around. Especially when it is large amounts of beautiful vintage buttons .

Rush job today. Couldn't think of what to shoot. I like buttons though. I just wanna push em :P
