Watch chocolate buttons be made right in front of you

Just a few of our popular buttons.

Well, I've got buttons, lots of buttons.

I got these from the same apartment that I was treasure hunting in a while ago. I am so lucky to suddenly just get these things. The first thing I did was (of course) to pour the entire contents of the box all over the floor to look at every single button.

Although I do not really know what I'm going to use the buttons for, I'm pretty sure there will be no problem to get god used them. It's always nice to have some extra lying around. Especially when it is large amounts of beautiful vintage buttons .

The base is a vintage button stuffed with beads, buttons and jewelry findings.

Promo shot for the band 'Fuck Buttons'

Tidying my room the other day. Realized I have lots and lots of buttons. I can't bear to throw them away though because they each have a memory. For example some from old jobs so I can reminded of things like when I was seventeen and pushed cinnamon bun samples onto unsuspecting shoppers to get them hooked--long story short I wore a plastic apron and everything I owned smelled of cinnamon. And many other silly stories :)

Scanned pic of grammy, added it with buttons to card for old-fashioned look.

Greenwellies and I made the buttons and had such fun and laughs doing it! Got a lot of funny looks for the netted rocks and only one sold, oh well, maybe next year they will catch on!

Brought home the family button tin when we cleared Mum's house last year. Mr'icks wanted a button so I opened up the treasure trove, then spent ages looking at the buttons. Amazing how small circular bits of plastic and metal can bring back memories. Most of these buttons were used as tokens when we played the Little Grey Rabbit card game.

These very unique Vintage Wooden Football Buttons on a card from Fashions Latest. I am not sure of the date of the buttons but know that they are from a collection that came from before 1965. These buttons are about 1 1/4'' long and 1/2'' high. There is a metal bar on the top that looks like stitching. The buttons have a self-shank. The card is distressed, sold as is. If you need additional pictures please let me know.

Some of the buttons I wear on my jackets.

a whole crapload of buttons. the large bag in the middle is made up of $0.10 bags from portage la prairie MCC and carded buttons from the brandon MCC, all sorted by colour one morning at the cabin. the green, blue and red bags are from the antique store in portage, and the other bags are from junk for joy and the antique store in portage, they were bought in glass jars and moved into baggies to bring home.

Sir John A Macdonald Day Buttons

Sir John A Macdonald was Canada's first Prime Minister—and a notorious drinker who famously once barfed in the middle of a campaign debate (and still got re-elected).

His birthday, January 11th, has been officially observed since 2002. Since these buttons are some 20 years older than that, I can only assume that Kingston (my hometown and John A's longtime haunt) started observing it much earlier.

It's still not a damn holiday.
