Jehu and I made a special delivery, today. There is a yarn convention in town right now. After delivering these, J and I rode the MAX, and were standing by a bunch of women that were obviously in town for the event. They were talking about patterns and Ravelry, and I wanted to butt in but didn't.
I threw in The Zinester's Guide to Portland because it's the best thing to have when visiting (or even living in!) Portland. I should really just buy a whole case of these books because I keep giving my copies away.
Made by kittycrossbones from etsy. She took my original art and made these cute little buttons. I'm thinking I should stamp them with permanent white ink. Maybe, with the word, "art" or something like that since they are made with original art. I would do "original art", but the button surface is curved and I'm pretty sure it would not stamp well.
A button necklace I made for my friend's birthday. I am going to have to make one for myself one day ;)

I love notions for sewing! My grandma was a dressmaker and this box was hers and I inherited it from her a few years ago. This is about half my button collection, I also have my other grandmas buttons but I do not want to mix them up yet. Beautiful box don't you agree!? Thought you guys might enjoy a pic like this after my buttonhole in the last pic. This is where the button came from, my beloved grandma!!
My purchase at Philospher's Wool Farm in Port Elgin, Ontario. Hand made BIG buttons, clasps and a shawl pin.

Glenda's "Buttons" theme caused me to begin a button collection - the eBay bids were flying fast and furious! My favorites are vintage clear glass buttons - they're so jewel like! I made a charm from one, with some red Swarvoski's wired into it.
