Walking through the streets of Gamla Stan, the old town of Stockholm, marvelling at the beautiful autumn colours.
This building is one of the remaining few Colonial Building in Colombo. The construction of this building was started in year 1924 and completed in year 1927. Purpose of constructing this building was to use as the office of the mayor and council chamber. Same time it was designed to be used as a ball room.
Colombo Municipal Council building, or famously known as “Colombo Town Hall” one of the prominent land mark in Colombo. This building is located in front of the Viharamahadevi park and currently houses Colombo Municipality mayor’s office, admin staff and council meeting room.
Construction of this building was done according to the British architecture. The front white Columns and the roof top dome add majestic look to the building. The original land of the this building included the Viharamahadevi park also. Even now it has a large ground in front of the building and it used for various meetings.

Особенно восхищает центральный выступающий портик, плоская крыша которого поддерживается рядом колонн, дарящих конструкции легкость. Основную часть здания венчает большой купол, покоящийся на широком барабане с колоннами. На нем разместилась изящная конструкция, которая напоминает тот же самый купол, но гораздо меньшего размера.

Stonehenge
It is a cromlech-type megalithic monument, in addition to other elements such as holes, moats, mounds, etc., built between the end of the Neolithic and the beginning of the Bronze Age, located near Amesbury, in the county of Wiltshire, England, about eight miles north of Salisbury.
Archaeologists consider as probable the dates of construction of the different phases and use between 3100 a. C. and 2000 a. C. The moat and circular mounds, which constitute the first phase of the monument, have been dated to about 5,100 years ago. Radiocarbon dating suggests that the first bluestone was erected between 2400 and 2200 BC,1 although settlement or use of the area prior to 3100 BC is not ruled out. C.234.

es un monumento megalítico tipo crómlech, además de otros elementos como hoyos, fosos, montículos, etc., construido entre el final del Neolítico y principios de la Edad del Bronce, situado cerca de Amesbury, en el condado de Wiltshire, Inglaterra, a unos trece kilómetros al norte de Salisbury.
Los arqueólogos consideran como probables las fechas de construcción de las distintas fases y utilización entre el 3100 a. C. y el 2000 a. C. El foso y montículos circulares, los que constituyen la primera fase del monumento, se han datado en unos 5100 años atrás. Ba Na Hills resort is located nearly 1,500 meters above sea level and roughly half an hour west of the central Vietnamese city of Da Nang.
Ba Na Hills resort was discovered by the French in the late nineteenth century. They have built here many large villas, sports grounds and a range of restaurants. For nearly a century, war and time have made this place gradually desolate. Yet, since the end of the twentieth century, Ba Na Hills has been woken up with the efforts of local authorities and people there. This scenic area is being upgraded and expanded.

While travelling in India, I noticed people feeding pigeons and other animals with grains outside temples. In Indian belief, all life forms are considered integral to divinity and are expected to be respected equally.

MONASTERIO DE SAN PEDRO DE ROCAS
El monasterio de San Pedro de Rocas está situado en el monte Barbeirón, rodeado de formaciones rocosas que pudieron darle nombre a este lugar. A finales del siglo XV se impuso en Galicia la reforma benedictina. A finales del siglo VI no existiría nada de lo que actualmente conforma el conjunto a excepción de las cuevas. Tres cuevas horadarían la montaña y en ellas vivirían haciendo una vida semi comunitaria o tal vez ya en completa comunidad, seis varones.
Sabemos que estos constituían un grupo cristiano. La iglesia, fue conformada tal y como la vemos hoy en día, entre los siglos XII y XIII. Se dotó a las naves de una fachada por medio de arcos añadidos en dos de los accesos a las mismas. Tiene una capilla central y dos laterales. Mirando de frente desde la puerta de acceso, en la capilla lateral izquierda se encuentra un sepulcro bajo un arco, tal vez el de Gemodus. En la pared que queda bajo el arco, entre los años 1175 y 1200, se realizó una pintura mural sin precedentes en Galicia que tiene la peculiaridad de ser el único mapamundi mural que hasta ahora se conoce de época románica.
The Saint Peter´s of Rocas, Monastery
The monastery of Saint Peter, is located on Mount Barbeirón, surrounded by rock formations that could have given this place its name. At the end of the 15th century, the Benedictine reform was imposed in Galicia. At the end of the 6th century there would be nothing that currently makes up the complex except for the caves. Three caves would pierce the mountain and six men would live in them making a semi-community life or perhaps already in complete community. We know that these constituted a Christian group. The church was shaped as we see it today, between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The naves were given a facade by means of added arches in two of the accesses to them. It has a central chapel and two side ones. Looking straight ahead from the access door, in the left side chapel there is a sepulcher under an arch, perhaps that of Gemodus. On the wall that remains under the arch, between 1175 and 1200, an unprecedented mural painting was made in Galicia that has the peculiarity of being the only mural world map known to date from the Romanesque period.

The Roche Towers are skyscrapers in the Swiss city of Basel. They are the tallest buildings in the country.
The illuminated building, also known as "Building 1" (German: Bau 1), was financed by pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche and designed by Herzog & de Meuron. It cost 550 million Swiss francs to build.
As part of Roche's 125th anniversary celebrations, the towers were illuminated in early October 2021.
All visitors of Burano remain intrigued by the many colours and the colorful houses that are reflected into the green waters of channels, by the leaning bell tower, by the tranquility and the calmness with which the elderly ladies embroider original Burano lace by their tombolo (or lace pillow), while they are laughing and chatting in squares among them. It seems to be in paradise.
The tatsumi-yagura is a two-story high keep at the easternmost corner of the Sannomaru and the only keep still remaining in it.

These nests were low down under a bough of a huge and ancient River Red Gum on the bank of a lagoon. First time I've seen nests not on a human built structure.
There are hundreds of nests under the eaves at the homestead.
Milan Cathedral, called Duomo di Milano in Italian, is a vast Gothic-style cathedral, located in the heart of Milan. It is 515 ft (157 metres) long and 302 ft (92 m) wide. It can house up to 40.000 people. Il Duomo di Milano is one of the largest Catholic churches in the world. The construction of Milan Cathedral began in 1386, which coincided with Gian Galeazzo Visconti coming into power. The purpose of this impressive construction was to modernize the area and to celebrate the expansion of the Visconti territory. The Cathedral took five centuries to complete. During this time, various architects, sculptors and artists contributed to the famous construction program known as the “Fabbrica del Duomo”. The result was an impressive and unique piece of architecture, which merged the international Gothic style with the Lombard Romanesque style.

Музей «Старый Владимир» разместился внутри бывшей водонапорной башни, построенной в конце 19 века для водоснабжения Владимира. После реконструкции водопроводной системы в 1950-х годах башню было решено перевести в разряд городских памятников. В 1975 году состоялось открытие музея, посвященного провинциальному Владимиру 19–20 веков.
The fort was constructed on the site of an ancient watchtower and construction began in 1556 under the direction King John III who wished to have the mouth of the Tagus river sufficiently protected from invaders.
The fortress was used as a political prison both at the end of the Portuguese monarchy and during the Salazar dictatorship with prisoners held in awful conditions.
The structure was constructed primary for defence and lacks any artistic beauty with the solid walls constructed from drab stone and masonry plaster.
