Es el monumento religioso más emblemático de la provincia que comparte dignidad con la Concatedral de San Pedro de la ciudad de Soria. Es sede de la Diócesis desde la Alta Edad Media,

The Hsinbyume Pagoda (also known as Mya Thein Tan Pagoda) was built in 1816 by prince Bagyidaw, the son of King Bodawpaya. The prince built this impressive white pagoda to commemorate Princess Hsinbyume his late wife (whose name means the White Elephant Queen) who had passed away during childbirth. One hundred thousand emeralds were used to fund the construction of the white pagoda which can explain its other name Mye Thein Tan (Mye= emerald, Thein Tan = 100,000).

The pagoda’s architectural style is very different from other pagodas in Myamar. The base of the structure shaped like circular terraces is a representation of the seven mountain ranges surrounding Mount Meru, the center of the universe in Buddhist cosmology. The pagoda on top is said to be built after the Chulamanee pagoda in the center of the universe on top of Mount Meru. The pagoda that is topped with a gold spire enshrines a Buddha image. The seven tiered concentric base shaped like waves contains niches, some of which contain small statues of mythological figures.

Assumption Cathedral is one of the most ancient cathedrals of Yaroslavl; it had been laid down at the beginning of the 13th century at the order of Prince Konstantin. The Assumption Cathedral was more than once destroyed by fire and then rebuilt; in 1937 it had been blown down and a park was laid out on the place. Nowadays on the upper level of the Volga Embankment you can see the restored cathedral, with its white stone walls and golden domes. The interior of the cathedral is carefully recreated.

San Giorgio Maggiore is a 16th-century Benedictine church on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice. The basilica was designed in the classical renaissance style by Andrea Palladio, and built between 1566 and 1610.

"Muckross Abbey - Tree of Life"

As a professional photographer, I spend countless hours researching future destinations. Locations, cultures, topography, temperature, tide schedules, sun - moon - twilight times, google maps/earth, and much more. Occasionally (and hopefully) you stumble upon unforeseen gems. I had read good things about the Muckross area of Wicklow, Ireland. Walking through the brilliant masonry of the Abbey I could see the majestic tree like a light at the end of a dark tunnel. Breathtakingly perfect and enormous, to the point where I wondered if it was real? The base has a twisted bark pattern that rises 10 meters to an amazing canopy, filling the entire ceiling of the courtyard. The sun positioned to create a nice sunstar between the intersections of the tree and the masonry. One of my favorite photos of the trip.

Tech specs for the photo geeks ;)

The Lebrija Palace or el Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija can be found in one of Seville city centre’s busiest streets, Calle Cuna, parallel to the Calle Sierpes. Dating from the 16th century, it is considered one of the best residences in Seville. The palace is characterised by its collection of Roman mosaics, which paved almost the entire ground floor and lead the palace to be considered the ‘best paved house-palace in Europe’.

The Norfolk & Western coaling dock at Vicker's Switch right outside of Christianburg, Virginia. This photo was taken with a four-location light-painting setup with assistance from friend Scott Haefner.

The Vicker coaling tower hearkens to a time when all railroads across the country had such diverse and uniquely built structures. Though ubiquitous, they were also unique, depending on the builder and utilitarian needs of the landscape.

Coaling towers were a necessary fixture along railroads during the era of coal-powered steam locomotives. Coal was carried on the train in a special car called a "tender." When the tender needed to be refilled, the engineer positioned the train so that the tender was parked under the tower chutes at the coaling tower. The chutes were then lowered and coal was released into the tender. In the 1950s, diesel replaced coal as the fuel of choice for locomotives, and coaling towers fell out of use.

Today there are only a few dozen such structures remaining across the country.

I think this is one of my favourite little hidden spots to shoot Sacré-Cœur. Do you know where this was shot?

TERRAS DE BOURO (Portugal): Aldeia de Brufe.

Second shot from my two days with Mark Bauer. We spent quite few time driving around and ended up at Corfe Castle for some shooting.

The clouds were moving incredible fast, it was just a question to wait for the right time to get the sun lighting the Castle.

The Palazzo Litta, also known as the Palazzo Arese-Litta, is a Baroque structure in Milan, northern Italy. The construction of this structure is the most attractive part of it. The baroque decoration of the windows consists of an enablement with floral patterns and volutes. Its elegant facade faces the Corso Magenta, and its portal is decorated with imposing telamons along with a grand staircase that leave a royal effect. Famous for its religious and historic significance, visiting Palazzo Litta is one of the most popular things to do in Milan. For the ancient wonderful architecture, the place has a unique charm, which makes it worth visiting. What makes it an important cultural centre is that it also houses Teatro Litta, the most ancient and still open theatre in the city, and, since 2007, the Regional Department of Lombardy Cultural Heritage. You will get buses, metro rail and local cabs for this place.

The magnificent fortress of Le Castella is located on the eastern end of the Gulf of Squillace in the province of Crotone. To be precise, in Isola di Capo Rizzuto looking out over the protected marine reserve of the same name. You don't need much imagination to see the Aragonese soldiers locked in combat with Turkish pirates five centuries ago.Точный век основание Ле Кастелла неизвестен, возможно, ее возвели в период Великой Греции. Впоследствии крепость претерпела целый ряд изменений и модификаций, наибольшие из них произошли в период Арагонского правления.
