New York, New York - August 19, 2025: Long exposure of people in Grand Central Terminal on 42nd Street.

Compare the original with the pictures on the postcard. In Valldemossa, the two look very much alike. No wonder, then, that so many tourists visit this pretty town in the mountains of Mallorca every day. The best time to visit is in the evening. Above all, it is a good idea to look around and stroll through the less crowded streets.

Wo Lok Estate is the oldest existing public housing estate in Kwun Tong District, and the first public housing estate with seven-storeys blocks. The estate comprises 11 blocks of buildings of Old Slab type built from 1962 to 1966.

It was developed into 2 phases. Phase 1 included 8 seven-storey blocks built in 1962 and 1963, while Phase 2 included 3 blocks built in 1965 and 1966. In 2007, the government evaluated the condition of the buildings, and found them all structurally sound. However, structural repair and improvement works were carried out to sustain the buildings for the next 15 years.

Since 24 June 2001, it has been the Monastic Fraternities of Jerusalem that have maintained the spiritual life of the Abbey of the Mont Saint-Michel. A mixed and urban fraternity, there are five brothers and seven sisters living at the abbey. Dressed in blue, monks and nuns do not live in isolation – as some communities do – but continue to interact with the outside world. The welcoming of pilgrims and visitors forms part of their mission.

FRIAS (Espanha)

Amsterdam Nights

Taken on my first photo-trip to the beautiful city of Amsterdam. My friend an I did not have a plan or a shotlist and just wandered around the city. Walking back to the car we suddenly just passed this awesome and often photographed location and I could not pass it by without capturing it…

The first fortification on this site was built in 1368. Years later it was enlarged and became a splendid ducal palace, which was then practically completely destroyed during the Golden Ambrosian Republic. The Sforza family reconstructed the castle and made it into one of the most magnificent residences in Italy. Years later, the castle was used once more as a fortification under the Spanish and Austrian domination. Napoleon ordered the demolition of the castle in 1800 and a year later the Spanish bastions and towers were destroyed. During the second half of the nineteenth century the population was torn between keeping the Castle or destroying it to build a residential neighbourhood. However, the castle remained and the architect Luca Beltrami was instructed to renovate the castle, restoring it as it was when the Sforza family resided in it. The restoration was completed in 1905 and the central tower (Torre Filarete) and the were inaugurated. The park was built on the former parade grounds. During World War II the castle was severely damaged. At the end of the twentieth century the Castle square was built with a fountain in the centre. However, in the sixties it was destroyed when the Milan Metro was built. In 2005, the restoration of the Cortile della Ghirlanda and the halls of the castle were completed.

В XVI в.

The 'Judges Chair' in Dunnabridge Pound. A granite built structure which is believed to have been built in the 16th century to provide shelter for the pound keeper. It is close to the B3357 road between Two Bridges and Dartmeet in the Dartmoor National Park.

Ref: www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM134B_Judges_Chair_Dunnabrid... "No one knows for sure why this 'chair' is called the Judge's Chair, some say it's linked with the Stannary Court at Crockern Tor which is not far away. The purpose of the Judge's Chair was to provide shelter for the pound keeper. His role was to oversee animals that were driven to the pound following the drifts and to collect any necessary fines from their owners.

Drifts were a round-up of livestock who had illegally grazed within the Forest of Dartmoor."

It is also said that the last pound keeper, Miss Dinah Tuckett was a formidable character, barring the gate and refusing to release any animal before the fine crossed her palm.
