I visited this awesome old structure in the ghost town of White Knob while on a tour put on in conjunction with Idaho Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month. The tour was led by the Mayor of nearby Mackay Idaho, Wayne Olsen.
This is the Headhouse where the ore was brought from the mine and readied to go down the hill to Mackay.

New York City - January 24, 2023: Long exposure of clouds over Lower Manhattan, the East River and the pilings near Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Originally the moated castle was used as a shelter and workshop for the dockers, who carried out the maintenance and repair of the hydraulic storage winches. They were called Windenwächter or Windenwächter and had - in addition to other technical personnel - the privilege to live in the Speicherstadt.
The winches were an important component of the storage buildings: there were - and still are today - no freight elevators. All goods were drawn with winches on the outside to the facades to or from the storage floors of the store.
The spare parts required for the maintenance work, some of them heavy, could be transported from here over the roads and canals. On the waterway over two cranes on the east side of the building, on land over an old paved road that leads directly into the building and ends behind the large double doors of the water castle.
Nowadays the building is used commercially. On the ground floor there is a commercial space for tea trade with attached gastronomy. On the first floor, a provider of oxygen therapy is located. Because of its location and architecture, it also served as a backdrop for television productions, such as the TV series "Die Pfefferkörner".
The Wasserschlösschen also trades under the name "Außenentraustelle" of the registry office Hamburg-Mitte.
In this photograph, you can see a long cause-way leading to the Baradari. This building is part of the Hiran Minar Complex. This garden was constructed during this time of Mughal emperor Jahangir in about 1606 A.D. In memory of his pet antelope, named Mansraj.
The Garnier Opera seen by the back from the roof of a Parisian store. In the foreground, the dome gilded in the gold leaf of this store and in the second plan the typical roofs of the city of Paris.
The architecture of this room is so rich that it almost seems to cause nausea while your brain trying to process all this texture from the ground to the ceiling, it really makes you all chicken skin.
I cannot resist to transcript the text about this hall from wikipedia in here, it's really amazing:
The Sala de los Abencerrajes (Hall of the Abencerrages) derives its name from a legend according to which the father of Boabdil, the last sultan of Granada, having invited the chiefs of that line to a banquet, massacred them here.[citation needed] This room is a perfect square, with a lofty dome and trellised windows at its base. The roof is decorated in blue, brown, red and gold, and the columns supporting it spring out into the arch form in a remarkably beautiful manner. Opposite to this hall is the Sala de las dos Hermanas (Hall of the two Sisters), so-called from two white marble slabs laid as part of the pavement. These slabs measure 500 by 220 cm (15 by 7½ ft). There is a fountain in the middle of this hall, and the roof — a dome honeycombed with tiny cells, all different, and said to number 5000 — is an example of the "stalactite vaulting" of the Moors.
