È possibile che venne fondato in questo punto per la sua grande posizione strategica; si dice anche che qui si sia fermato Ulisse e che il suo territorio sia la terra dei Feaci. La popolazione originaria era composta da greci, fino a quando il sito, circa intorno al 500 a.C., venne conquistato dalla popolazione di stirpe indoeuropea detti Brettii o Bruzi e perse i contatti con la madre-patria, la Grecia

The Torre Marrana is a fascinating tower from the Capo Vaticano military fortifications dating back to the 14th century. Castrum Sancti Salvatoris, ancient city of Cossa, was destroyed by an earthquake in 1456 and re-founded under the name of Civita in 1471 by Albanian refugees.

The Church of St. Anna in Augsburg, also known colloquially as Anna's Church, is a historic church building that was built by the Carmelites in 1321. St. Anna combines architectural styles from Gothic to Classicism.
It seems as if the angel lifting the heavy pulpit is looking directly at the ceiling, at the image of the crucifixion.

Frías é a cidade mais pequena de Espanha, com uma superfície de 32 Km2 e uma população de 252 habitantes (dados de 2019).
Impressiona o seu aspeto ainda medievo, que deve a sua origem a Afonso VIII. Este ergueu-a no cimo da rocha, no século XII. Foi, desde a época romana, um ponto estratégico importante que dominava a passagem do rio Ebro.
No século XVI chegou a ter mais de 6000 habitantes. Hoje, esta localidade, vive quase exclusivamente do turismo.
