The "Pont de pierre" in French, or "Stone Bridge" in English, is a bridge in Bordeaux, (in the Gironde department of France), which connects the left bank of the Garonne River to the right bank. It is 487 m in length and 19 m wide.

The most characteristic chimneys were built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, with some being much older. It is not known exactly when this trend began, except that the chimney was the trademark of the master who built the house.

The Christmas tree lit up under the Washington Square Arch in Washington Square Park, Greenwich Village, New York City. The arch is a marble memorial arch designed by architec Stanford White in 1891. It commemorates the centennial of George Washington's 1789 inauguration as President of the United States.

Even though at first glance it looks a bit like the distant Eiffel Tower, it is not at all. It's just the pillar of the Passerelle du Palais de Justice in Lyon. Photographed through two pillars at the entrance to the Palais de Justice, and above it arches a wonderfully blue, but also somewhat boring sky.

Actually just a normal alley in Toulouse. Not ugly, not particularly pretty, just a normal alley. But what a bright spot the fresh, colorful, good-smelling flowers bring to everyday life. The warm light of the store and the colorful flowers magically attracted my eye.

The Alcantara Bridge

It is a Roman arch bridge built between the years 103 and 104, which crosses the Tagus River in the Spanish town of Alcántara, in the province of Cáceres. Spain. It is a bridge that combines refined technique with aesthetics and functionality, one of the clearest exponents of what was Roman civil engineering impregnated with a propagandistic nature.

Its tall pillars provided with buttresses that enhance its verticality and its arches favor the sought-after monumentality and were considered the archetype of other works, such as the nearby but more modest Segura bridge. Its central arch alludes to the emperor in whose period it was built, Trajan, and to the municipalities in the area that contributed to the project. Damaged and rebuilt several times from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, the bridge has been described by chroniclers, travelers and scholars who have been able to admire it throughout history and who have left testimonies of praise from the Middle Ages to the present day. .

The "Fool Moon Bridge"At over 500 years old, the Fuli Bridge is yet another ancient stone bridge which can be found in the countryside around Yangshuo. When seen from a distance away, the bridge with its high arched back and the reflection created in the water form a perfect circle, called a full moon by the locals.

Exquisite vases on the wall parapets, aerial arches with baroque reliefs and countless statues of ancient Greek gods that adorn the courtyard territory consisting of several descending terraces became an additional decoration of the palace. The sculptures were an exact replica of the ancient sculptures of the Berlin Museum, with the only difference being that ours were gypsum, imitating marble. The park designer introduced his “zest” into the design of the territory. The trick was that the “female” figures were located from the southern part of the palace, where the bedchamber of Maria Feodorovna was located. Statues of male gods "dispersed" from the north side of the palace, respectively, from the side of the emperor's chambers.

Unfortunately, out of almost 30 figures, only six have survived to our times. Surprisingly, they are all paired: two satyrs, two chimeras and two sphinxes. The rest were irretrievably lost, dashing times of wars and revolutions did not spare them.
