The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval bridge over the Arno River in Florence, Italy. It is a symbol of the city and one of the most famous bridges in the world, one of the few surviving inhabited bridges.

It is believed that it was a bridge initially built in wood by the Romans, shortly after the founding of Florence around the year 150 BC. C.2

It has always contained different stores and great commercial activity; According to legend, this is because the bridge had tax exemptions.

In the Appenzell Alpstein, more precisely on the Schwägalp, a path with many small lanterns leads through the forest during the cold and dark season. This is of course beautiful when there is also snow.

We have completed the path shortly after the sun has set. The golden and the blue hour, but also afterwards in the darkness showed great moods. Fortunately, the trail is not too long, because it was freezing cold. This was good for the quality of the pictures, but was at the expense of cold fingers :-)

Le Palais du Peyrou - The relatively large Swiss mansion was built between 1765 and 1771 for Pierre-Alexandre Du Peyrou by the Bernese architect Erasme Ritter. The still mainly original interior of the mansion was executed by highly skilled craftsmen.

In 1858 the city of Neuchâtel bought the mansion and restored it to its former glory. Today Le Palais du Peyrou contains a restaurant and it is also used for ceremonial events by the city.

Have you ever been to Basel?

Just arrived and just in time for the blue hour, we stood on the middle Rhine bridge. With the camera aimed at the banks of the Rhine and the river, there was a wonderful atmosphere, peaceful and because we were in the middle of the city, nevertheless happy and lively.

Burano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, like Venice itself, it could more correctly be called an archipelago of four islands linked by bridges. It is situated near Torcello at the northern end of the Lagoon, and is known for its small, brightly painted houses, popular with artists. The colours of the houses follow a specific system originating from the golden age of its development, if someone wishes to paint their home, one must send a request to the government, who will respond by making notice of the certain colours permitted for that lot.

The Tour Incity is high and visible from far away. And thus he strongly shapes the skyline of Lyon. But just as interesting as the height and the many floors is what is at the foot of the skyscraper. It is Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse...the name says it all. Here, every hungry mouth will find something tasty.

And if the sun helps a little in the golden hour, a modern somewhat cool skyscraper with a lot of glass, almost becomes a romantic spot in the middle of Lyon.

The Palace of the Winds is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture in India. It is adorned with 953 windows. These were designed to enable the ladies of the royal court to watch street theatre unobserved, hidden behind the delicate latticework. Also known as the Hawa Mahal, the palace was built in 1799 for Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh as part of the women's quarters of the expansive City Palace complex in the heart of Jaipur. The street-facing façade is essentially an enormous screened porch, only one room deep in most places. In 1876, Jaipur was preparing for the visit of the Prince of Wales. To welcome him with warmth and grandeur, Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II ordered the entire city to be painted terracotta pink — a colour symbolizing hospitality and friendliness in Rajput culture — earning Jaipur its nickname of 'The Pink City'.

Wandering through Lyon at dusk to find a beautiful illuminated building, I found this one! It was just standing on the side of a street, showing off its beautiful illuminated façade.

People standing in front of it waiting for the bus no longer even notice how surprisingly beautifully decorated and lit this and other houses along the street are. Perhaps understandable if you see them all the time. But for me, an innocent tourist, it was one more beauty.

By the way, if you like French cities and have seen most of Paris several times, visit Lyon!

Spectacular it is, the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. A grandiose building that you would not necessarily expect on this island, almost next to the coast. But there it stands and shies away from the comparison with other houses of worship in any way.

In addition to the enormous nave with the imposing columns, there are also beautiful side altars, which have impressed me so much.
