The "skyline" of Zurich's old town, taken from the opposite bank of the Limmat, is shown against the glow of the slowly setting sun. Thanks to the long exposure, at least the silhouettes of the houses are reflected in the river.

On the left is the steeple of the Fraumünster and on the right the tower of the church of St. Peter with its huge clock face.

A late blue hour shot from the famous Landwasserviadukt in Switzerland. Luckily the bridge was already lightened. I really like opposite colors: Yellow light on the bridge and the light trail of the train. Dark blue from the natural light reflected on the snow.

The large five-tent church was built by architects A.F. Meisner and A.A. Nikiforov in 1894-1897 as the main temple of the Clinical Campus of Moscow University on the Maiden Field. In 1931, the temple was closed for the organization of the workers' club of the Rubber plant in it. At various times, the building housed a "cultural light room", a gym, a pharmacy, a warehouse, and an institute museum. The heads and the bell tower were demolished, new windows were pierced, the interior decoration was completely destroyed, partitions were arranged. The dilapidated temple stood until the 1990s, when funds were found for its restoration. The great consecration of the temple took place on September 19, 2002, on the day when the Church remembers the miracle of the holy Archangel Michael in Honeh. The consecration was performed by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.

On the corner of two streets is this beautiful French house in Lyon. I just love the style of French houses in the city. To me, they have a certain elegance. And the fiery sky lit by the setting sun, adds to the beauty of the scene.

The Quirinale obelisk and statue on the Piazza del Quirinale in Rome

What a futuristic and fantastic building! This museum convinces not only with its contents, which include permanent exhibitions and also temporary exhibitions about anthropology and science. The whole museum is packed in extremely appealing and great architecture.

A visit is doubly worthwhile because of the exhibits and because of the building.

By the way it's the Musée des Confluences...and it is located in the very south of the peninsula formed by the Saône and the Rhône in Lyon, just before their confluence....guess where the name comes from.

The Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church. It is located not far from the Kremlin on the left bank of the Moskva River, in a place formerly called the Church. The existing structure is an external reconstruction of the temple of the same name, created in the XIX century, carried out in the 1990s. The original Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow was erected in gratitude to God for saving Russia from the Napoleonic invasion. It was built according to the project of architect Konstantin Ton. The construction lasted almost 44 years: the temple was laid on September 23, 1839, consecrated on May 26, 1883. December 5, 1931. the temple building was destroyed. Rebuilt in the same place by 1999.

ALCÁCER DO SAL (Portugal): Igreja matriz de Alcácer do Sal, também chamada Igreja de Santa Maria do Castelo.

The Stauropegic Resurrection New Jerusalem Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in the Moscow Region. It is a unique and sacred place, marvellous in its design, having been crafted by architects from several epochs. It reproduces the layout of key religious sites in Ierusalem – the Resurrection Cathedral is the counterpart of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with its side chapels and the underground Sts Constantine and Helena Church is the counterpart of the cavernous Palestinian church. The natural landscape around the monastery bears Biblical names: Mounts (or, rather, hills) Tabor, Hermon, Sinai, Mount of Olives, the Jordan river (Istra), and the Garden of Gethsemane.
