Entre 18 de Dezembro e 2 de janeiro de 2022, a pequena Aldeia de Montanha da Cabeça, no concelho de Seia, volta a ser a Aldeia de Natal mais ecológica do país.
Levens Bridge on a damp cold Cumbrian morning.
Levens Bridge is a rubble built structure, with two segmental arches and cutwaters to the central pier. It has been widened more than once; the centre is perhaps 17th century, the west side 18th or 19th century and the east side modern. Grade 2.
The old Chesterfield Corporation Water Works building at Hunger Hill near Holymoorside. The stone-built structure was used to supply drinking water via two bore holes which are still overflowing due to natural artesian pressure. The site was decommissioned in the 1970's but water still
The beautiful Lausanne Cathedral with the sun shining through one of the magnificent stained glass windows.
When in Lausanne, be sure to visit the cathedral. The way there is a bit steep, but it's still worth it.

LANHESES (Portugal): Paço de Lanheses.
O Paço de Lanheses, também referido como Quinta do Paço (por estar inserido dentro de uma quinta rural e em cujos campos estão implantados os seus vinhedos), é um solar classificado como Monumento de Interesse Público, que se localiza na freguesia de Lanheses, concelho e distrito de Viana do Castelo, em Portugal.
Dentro duma linha tradicional e típica da região Norte de Portugal constitui uma grande casa senhorial, composta por dois corpos desiguais, de dois pisos, com capela adossada ao corpo maior. Terá sido erguida nos finais do século XVI e aumentada no século XVIII da qual mantém a traça dessa época e que está inserida numa extensa propriedade agrícola.
É igualmente apelidado de Paço dos Almadas por pertencer, desde o inicio do século XIX, ao representante dos Almadas (condes de Almada) assim como tinha sido antes de Solar dos Ricaldes por ter visto aqui nascer ou se nobilitar a família com esse nome associado ao apelido, ancestrais dos primeiros por linha feminina a partir dessa data.

The Castle of Vêves (French: Château de Vêves) occupies a rocky platform just outside the village of Celles, in the province of Namur, Belgium. It is classified as Major Heritage of Wallonia. According to tradition, the site has been occupied by castles since the time of Pippin of Herstal (7th century). In the later Middle Ages, the area fell under control of the Beaufort family, which oversaw the construction of a stronghold here in about 1230.
The present castle, in the form of an irregular pentagon and flanked by six round towers of varying size, dates largely from around 1410. Successive restorations modified especially the walls of the inner courtyard, one of which is lined with a distinctive half-timbered gallery of two levels, and another of which was given a red brick facade in the Louis XV style. The northern frontage is crowned with a small cupola containing a clock.

GUIMARÃES (Portugal): Zona de Couros.
Em Guimarães, a Indústria dos Curtumes, que remonta à Idade Média, desenvolveu-se com sucesso até meados do séc. XX, fazendo da cidade uma referência nacional no setor. No séc. XIX, a atualmente designada Zona de Couros foi um núcleo privilegiado da indústria de transformação de peles, onde se manteve uma produção baseada nas técnicas tradicionais e no trabalho manual. Ainda que pouco significativas, as primeiras tentativas de inovação e modernização dos processos de produção surgiram apenas nos inícios do séc. XX, fazendo com que esta indústria se mantivesse ativa até meados do século. Em julho de 1977, a Zona de Couros é classificada como Imóvel de Interesse Público, no que constituiu a primeira iniciativa legislativa do género realizada em Portugal em torno da arqueologia industrial. Esta classificação vem reconhecer a importância da atividade e contribuir para a preservação dos vestígios desta indústria local. Na Zona de Couros, existem diversos edifícios que foram construídos para a instalação de fábricas destinadas à transformação das peles em couros, com os seus típicos secadouros e tanques de tinturaria.

The hotel is located at the beginning of Tverskaya Street, near its intersection with Mokhovaya Street - in close proximity to Red Square and the Moscow Kremlin.
In the 19th century, the Paris Hotel was located on this site, which was demolished during the general reconstruction of Moscow in the 1930s. Until 2002, a 22-storey building of the Intourist Hotel, built in 1970, stood on this site.
The opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow took place on July 1, 2007. The hotel building was built in 2005-2007 according to the design of the team of authors headed by architect A. D. Meyerson.

В XIX веке на этом месте находилась гостиница «Париж», которая была снесена в ходе генеральной реконструкции Москвы 1930-х годов. До 2002 года на этом месте стояло 22-этажное здание гостиницы «Интурист», построенное в 1970 году.
Открытие гостиницы «The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow» состоялось 1 июля 2007 года. Здание гостиницы строилось в 2005—2007 годах по проекту авторского коллектива, возглавляемого архитектором А. Д. Меерсоном.

Before my visit to Lyon, during my research I came across a picture of the Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon lit up at night. And of course I wanted to take a picture myself at sunset and at night.
It was a cloudless sunset and the sun was setting behind the most beautiful building reflected in the Rhône River that runs through the city.
By the way, if you like French cities and have seen most of Paris several times, visit Lyon!

Built in 1981. Architects: L.Melanchthon, P.Savina, V.Shestopalov, N.Baranov. Engineer V. Chudnovsky. The project of the House of Soviets itself was considered very progressive for its time, since it did not cause serious damage to the architectural appearance of the central part of the city, the administration building on both sides of the buildings of the office premises of the VIII- XIX centuries forms a single ensemble with them.
Здание администрации Ярославской области, построенное в 1981 году, завершило реконструкцию Советской площади. Архитекторы постарались гармонично вписать его в уже сложившийся архитектурный ансамбль, сохранив масштабность и очертания бывшего Дворца наместника. Обратите внимание, что современные строгие фасады здания, облицованные белым камнем, одновременно тактично стилизованы под классицизм. Авторы проекта данной постройки архитекторы Шестопалов, Малашонок, Савинова, инженер- конструктор Чудновский были удостоены Государственной премии РСФСР.
