Out yesterday with Pauls Pix 53 to Sheffield Park, for a nice slow amble around the gardens ... and 2 lots of coffee and cake :)
This one, whilst it stayed around, it didn't put it's self in the best of positions, and I couldn't really reposition myself for fear of falling in the water :))
Stagecoach Manchester: (R460 VOP) a Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLE, painted in this silver and grey demonstration livery and captured here on Wilmslow Road passing through Didsbury Village operating on Service 42 to Stockport.

Taken on a sunny morning in London whilst I was on a photography walk. Took a while to get a clear shot, but I think it was worth the wait.
The British Museum is a museum in London dedicated to human history and culture. Its permanent collection, numbering some 8 million works, is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence and originates from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present.
The British Museum was established in 1753, largely based on the collections of the physician and scientist Sir Hans Sloane. The museum first opened to the public on 15 January 1759 in Montagu House in Bloomsbury, on the site of the current museum building. Its expansion over the following two and a half centuries was largely a result of an expanding British colonial footprint and has resulted in the creation of several branch institutions, the first being the British Museum (Natural History) in South Kensington in 1881. Some objects in the collection, most notably the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon, are the objects of controversy and of calls for restitution to their countries of origin.
Until 1997, when the British Library (previously centred on the Round Reading Room) moved to a new site, the British Museum housed both a national museum of antiquities and a national library in the same building. The museum is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and as with all other national museums in the United Kingdom it charges no admission fee, except for loan exhibitions.Since 2002 the director of the museum has been Neil MacGregor.

This is a lot of man packed in a speedo. His girlfriend (cropped out) wore a matching blue thong and the blue chair matched their suits. They looked like body builders to me.

#27: The reason I had to have my gallbladder removed is because I had so LITTLE fat in my diet, all the bile sat there and did not do its job breaking down fat and it turned into stones. I have always been on the average to a little chubby side, and have went up and down as I think all women have...but I was always convinced I was totally fat.
But I was so obsessed with looking 'perfect' and people in my own family would always give me a hard time to lose a few pounds so I made up my own diet which was basically no more then 500 calories a day and as little to no fat as possible. I ate rice and steamed veggies and not much else. Yes I am aware how unhealthy it was so I really don't want lectures on it. It has truly fucked up my body ever since. I lost too much weight very quickly and I was bony and gross for about a year and now besides losing my gallbladder my weight fluctuates very easily and my whole system is out of whack and may very well be forever.
It was drilled into my head by the media and by FAMILY that if I was not stick-thin I was not beautiful and would never get a husband or whatever and I believed it. I know it is not true but there is a part of me that still feels like I will never be thin enough or pretty enough or perfect enough.
(NOTE: these Random Facts are not to get reaction, but it was my choice on finding an interesting way to end out my Year 1 and maybe share some things about me that make me who I am. If you don't like it, don't read it. But I am not looking for sympathy or compliments or anything else. I chose on purpose to have some funny ones, some weird ones, etc...and I had reasons for it.)
A scene hardly recognisable today, Harper Brothers No29 is pictured climbing the Hednesford Road from Hill Street, Heath Hayes in South Staffordshire. Bound for Birmingham on the X12 service, 29 will soon draw up at the bus stop outside Harpers bus garage in Heath Hayes, part way through its journey. Here' drivers could change over on their duties, or maybe nip in to the garage to use the toilet!
The Northern Counties bodied Daimler Fleetline had been new to Harper's in May 1970. It later passed to Midland Red Omnibus Co (MROC) in September 1974, when Harpers sold their business and its assets to the MROC.
Renumbered 2229, and painted into Midland Red livery, the bus would spend the rest of its service life at the company's Delta Way premises in Cannock. Here it would stray far from the confines of the former Harper's network, visiting exotic destinations in other parts of South Staffordshire, the West Midlands and even straying into Shropshire on occasions.
Withdrawal came in September 1983, and after a period of open storage, 2229 was sold for scrap to North's of Sherburn in March 1984.
