Hug, means thought or soul. In Nordic folklore, the hug was also thought to be able to travel independently of the body. Particularly important was the "evil hug", as it was believed that certain people could influence and harm others through their thinking. I was milling around with a few other folks watching the activity at the river crossing late this afternoon. The action was pretty intense about now. There were horses in the trees behind me, bands of horses across the river, in the river, down the river. There was a lot going on and it was tough to decide what to focus on. Someone nearby said something like, "uh oh, trouble coming, look out behind you". I whirled around and pointed the camera, just in time to watch the chestnut body-slam and then kick at the gray. Geez.
Looking at the gray now, and the Righty gray in my post from yesterday, it's conceivable it's the same horse as this image is about 20 minutes before the gray pair posted yesterday. If that's so, then in the image from yesterday Lefty could be saying to Righty "Good job, you held your own against that rambunctious body-slammer." Furthermore, I'm elated I got any pics at all of this - straight into the setting sun practically. Lucky camera settings...

A sleek bodied animal with lustrous chocolate brown to black fur with white spottings on the chin and throat. They have a long and somewhat bushy tail. Male is larger than the female. They weigh between 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds.
They inhabit areas along rivers, creeks, lakes, ponds and marshes.
They range from most of the US and Canada except for the southwestern US areas of southern California, southern and central Utah, souther New Mexico and western Texas.

Time to visit Dr. Annie Dult at the morgue. The coroner was examining the body. Hiya Quistis, she said to detective Shippe when she came in, this is a pretty easy case. Cause of death…stab wounds. That for sure was obvious. Still the family wanted an autopsy….I guess they wanted to be sure she didn’t die of natural causes. Doc Dult rolled her eyes. I can’t tell much about the body, except that she was young, attractive and perfect for the restroom killer, she said. Oh, detective Shippe replied….why is that?

Following on the positive response to my Wave Warrior photos, my theme for today is a single body boarder. Quite often when I take shots of people in the surf, I will select a few good surfers and follow them as they ride the waves.
This young man was particularly good, here is a sequence of shots from when I saw him catch a wave, until it dropped him.
Kaiser appears to have body dysmorphia and thinks that he will be able to fit in something this small - lol.
I had my CT scan last Monday and am still awaiting the results. It was no fun at all not eating for 48 hours. I would love to say I dropped a few pounds but, like Kaiser, I remain well padded. Another raining weekend ahead so I will be surprised if we get out
