I can't decide what I think of the fact that the statue depicting an Africa -American student is carrying a book on her head much as a native in a National Geographic picture might carry a jug of water on her head. Is she supposed to be balancing her native impulses with those pearls or what? And why not depict the white students plundering or proselytizing? (UNC Chapel Hill • August 2005)

this project is called the "wash away project". this project is about resilience and inner strength and the ability to overcome personal shadows, an adversity or anything that has made the person feel small, out of their control or powerless. The people in these photos write the word (or words) that represented their own personal adversity or hardship they have faced in their lives. Their word is written on their face or any part of the body they choose. They are then splashed with a bucket of water to "wash away" the word that once held them back. The water represents the resilience to not let personal struggle dominate who you are and what you are limited to. They have accepted that the word is part of them but they can accelerate past it and move forward to be the person they are. You are yourself. You are who you choose to be. You just have to have the heart and resilience to make your word "wash away".

Yes Meadow changed again, and for the last time! I was never happy with the look of a licca body on her, so I customized her face again....but didn't like it....so I put the "old custom" face from my daughter's blythe back on her and now im happy...for now....looking for takara eye mech with the same blue side glance...and maybe a takara scalp just like her blybe scalp

I took Athos out on Saturday, and when reached for her, I took out her legs. I was in shock.

Now thinking back, I recall Blythe peeps saying petites tend to shatter at the pelvis.

I have taken the two largest pieces and glued them back. I threw away the small bits. She can now move, but she's never going to leave the house again. Poor Athos... :(
