Second Skin (Elastic Dress II) is a combined work by Anoli Perera, Shirmal Silva (Photography) and Dilki Perera (Art Direction). The red elastic dress II is on display at the Colombo Art Biennale (CAB).
"Becoming” is the theme for the second edition of the Colombo Art Biennale is held from 15th February 2012 to 19th February 2012 at Park Street Mews, J.D.A. Perera Gallery and National Art Gallery. Colombo Art Biennale includes paintings, installations, photos, performance, audio and video presentations. Many art talks also held during the five day festival of art.
39 artists from Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, Germany, India, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Sweden and Sri Lanka participated in the festival of art.
Been meaning to do this for months. For 2-3 years I had been severely overweight (and legally obese woo!). This is me in August 2010, about 2 weeks before I started up school at UD. I had maxed out at around 242 in weight and decided I needed a change in lifestyle. This was easily the most embarrassing moment of my life being this out of control.

If I wanted to I could mount the body with no more modification and the truck would look like this. You may notice an unusually large gap between the cab and the body from certain angles.
For anyone looking to do a project like this, this could be a good stopping point for an almost life-like truck, with very little effort.
I'm still debating on whether or not I want to shorten the frame, but this will require cutting the frame behind the cab prior to the first screw hole. If I do this I will need a strong bonding agent so the truck doesn't break in half when handled.
