Downtown Nanaimo, BC. This is a restaurant and on the 2nd floor a local pub. You can sit outside in the summer. Nice place.
This picture needs some words of explanation. Japanese taxis present an interesting characteristic.
From their seat, taxi drivers can command the passenger door aperture.
On this picture, the driver has opened in advance the door for a coming client .
A blue light, coming from inside, lights the pavement and responds to the blue light illuminating the Kyoto's Tower.

This picture could be used as illustration of a science fiction novel …
The taxi is waiting for a passenger who will get on board on the blue UFO…
This image was taken the last night before our local beach closed and now today it is opening again... just for walking. Can't wait to do another sunset walk.

When I went to Chicago for business I had time to visit beautiful places and the Sears tower is one of them. From the floor nbr 94 if I'm not wrong, you have a great view of the lake and city.
I had the good fortune of being able to see Niagara Falls at night in all the cold, snow, and ice of this past weekend - and came away from it with a ridiculous number of images but just couldn't stop myself. This is one of my favorites of the American side.
In the quiet moments just after sunset, two moss-covered statues stand as silent sentinels on the edge of a bustling city. Their green, human-like forms blend with the surrounding nature, creating a moody contrast against the steel and glass of Canary Wharf’s distant skyscrapers.
i was walking along Tambon Ao Nang towards Noparathara Beach.
On my way I spotted this old steam engine standing in the gardens in front of the Krabi Resort.
It's once bright coloured paint, is now a bit faded and getting rusty in places.
Although it has not worked for years, it is still an impressive piece of machinery a worth a look at rather than just walking by.
Up at 3:30am to meet some photography friends to shoot this location. It was cloudy and the only sun we really got was the sliver on the horizon. Still, it was a good time and worth the drive.

With the snow still piled high across the top roads, the fence posts are a useful guide this week ;o)

Many hours of tedious labor of love went into stringing all these lights for the Christmas celebration.
