This is my first (and last) commission piece. Although I ended up being happy with it and the client is too, it is way too much stress for me to work like this! OH, and this would not have been possible without the gorgeous hummingbird I received in the tess exchange....THANKS CHICKEEMAMA!!
This is the home of Greg Zuccolotto. The owner of Certifide Restoration Services. He rebuilds homes that have been damaged by fire.
He built this stunning sea side Tuscan Villa. What a treat to spend time here with his beautiful wife Julie, two daughters and two boys.
My favorite of course was his dog Paris.
The stone blocks are trowled on Fauxtex and then glazed. Ernesto assisted me with painting the walls this gorgeous shade of deep burgandy.
The morning sun was highlighting the part of the city block that I intended to photograph but there were other buildings that looked interesting near here as well!

I recovered from my panic attack brought on by the realization that I didn't have enough of the orange swirls left over. After that, this block was a complete joy. I mean really, if pinwheels don't make you smile, then you must not have lips! I think this is my favorite block so far. I remembered what Elizabeth told us about rotating directional prints, which is what I did here. Love it! Thanks for the great tutorial, Cherri!
