Memorial for the murdered Jews in Berlin, with first-class communist housing in the background.

Block for the love circle of the do. good stitches bee. I really like the blocks with overlapping circles that other folks made, but was more drawn to a design where they were all separate for mine.

PMQG will be having a presence this year at the Sisters' annual Outdoor Quilt Show, and put out a call for 6" blocks from the members. I won't have a quilt in the show, but hopefully I can contribute in a little way.

Week of Welcome President's Block Party, Aug. 19, 2012

I worked all the ones you sent in there and even tossed in one from the pile. :) Thanks so much for coordinating this bee, Deb. I had lots of fun making everyone's blocks. :)

Pictures made with block prints using potato, stencil, wood block and polystyrene block.

Hand Block Printing, a specialty of Jaipur uses wooden blocks to print different designs on various clothing items and fabrics using natural colors.

ladmquilter's colours for this quarter of the 3x6 bee were blue, gray and green. She asked for a gray background (I used Kona medium gray.) The feeling of the block really changes a lot when white isn't used for background.

I made this block using the tutorial here at the blog Needles and Spatula. It was very easy (no pinning required and lots of room for error.) The hardest part was deciding how to arrange the squares. I thought that this arrangment would work well with the wonkiness of the circles and was different from the usual. I loved the result so much that I now have a plan to make an entire quilt of blocks like these using cool-toned shot cottons.

This is my version of the Noel block. I added the dangling ornaments, combining the dangling ornament block found at quiltinggallery.com/2011/10/20/quilt-along-christmas-orna... with the Noel Block. I'm not 100% finished with this block, I still need to embroider on the ornament strings and sew down the applique.
