I wanted to make this block less busy so I added some steam instead of the words 'Press On". This block came out a little smaller...
Tente is no strange to colour change. It came when Borras started producing new pieces. Gray is darker and more bluish. There also seems to be differences between pieces of Exin. Here you can see a lot of variation, that I kind of like.

Block for the love circle of the do. good stitches bee. I really like the blocks with overlapping circles that other folks made, but was more drawn to a design where they were all separate for mine.

The Dave White Block is a two-storey, red brick, early twentieth century commercial building situated on two lots on Banff Avenue, the main commercial street in Banff, Alberta.
The Dave White Block has significant heritage value as one of the oldest remaining, largely intact, commercial buildings in Banff, it was built as a general merchandise store in two sections in 1908-1909 (south section) and 1912-1913 (north section). Although not typical of the common rustic style of early Banff buildings, it is an excellent example of early twentieth century commercial architecture and a rare example of early commercial life in Banff that illustrates the community’s roots as a commercial service centre to National Park visitors.
The Dave White Block is also significant for its direct association with Dave White and his family who played a prominent role in the early development of the tourism industry in Banff. The building is still owned by the family’s Whyte Foundation. Several prominent businesses and professionals maintained office space on the second storey including the Alpine Club Canada.

My Precious 'Polaroid' blocks for the Picture Perfect Polaroid Block Swap. Some more of the blocks I made - here is one of my 'precious' Amy Butler Love scraps, leftover from the quilt I am making from the first 'My Precious' link up.
Tappets now back in and the block painted. To my eyes and cross referencing to the original paint which had been hidden behind the bell housing the colour is a little too turquoise.
PMQG will be having a presence this year at the Sisters' annual Outdoor Quilt Show, and put out a call for 6" blocks from the members. I won't have a quilt in the show, but hopefully I can contribute in a little way.
The mid-day Block Island Ferry leaves Galilee, RI as a low pressure system moves in from the west. The approaching storm will make for rough passage, but it also provided this great light.
