I made this card to send to a friend that I haven't talked with in awhile - I wanted to say hello and let her know that I've been thinking of her. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts My Favorite (AC030), Hero Arts So Much Fun (LP292), Hero Arts Essential Messages (CL371), Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Raspberry Jam, Soft Blossom), and BasicGrey Kneehighs patterned paper.
Another swap...In this one I had to have a face on the card. I chose this image of Louise Brooks, an old silent movie actress and music hall star, as I thought she was stunning and I loved this quote of hers.
Made with the Origins collection of fabrics by Basic Grey for Moda. Hand quilted with Gutermann quilting thread. Backing fabric is part of a duvet cover from Ikea. Dimensions are 50" by 58". Completed August 2014.
I have basted this table runner and I need quilting suggestions. I hope to quilt it today. Thoughts??? It's about 16" x 32" and uses BasicGrey's new line, Little Black Dress.
Inspired by Kelly Rasmussen for OCC Insider - Day 3. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts Pom Pom Flower (K5571), Hero Arts So Much Fun (LP292), Hero Arts Stepping Stone Alphabet (330055), Hero Arts Joyful Thanksgiving (LP319), BasicGrey Knee-Highs patterned paper, Ranger Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean), and Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
I altered a CD case, altoid tin, three bull clips, a mini composition book and a paper mache box. OH! And the cabinet!
Updated! Now has a tag on top with die-cut flower and gem + ribbon. Box dimensions are 4" square x 3" high - each drawer is 2" square x 1" high. All drawers hand-made using template from Mirkwood Designs. Tassels hand made using embroidery floss. Bit fiddly to make, and in hindsight, would have made the drawers 2 inches high as well and only made 8 drawers instead of 12!!
This is for the birthday challenge this week.
CS - Stamping Up, Bazzill
PP - BasicGrey
Flowers - Prima
Stamps - Hero Arts
Ink - Memento, Colorbox
Gems - Hero Arts
Believeit or not, I had a difficult time this week with the paper tearing challenge. So I decided to make a 3x3 card--I find the smaller size to be easier for me.
Cardstock is Bazzill kraft; paper is BasicGrey (eskimo kisses); ribbon is American Crafts; gemstones and stamp are Hero Arts.
Thanks for looking! :)
Made this card for Daria's I Remember Mary Jane challenge. I have to admit, when I first watched Judi Watanabe's Elegant Embossing video for the patent leather technique I was pretty skeptical that I would get decent results. Boy was I surprised!
Stamped Hero Arts H5011 Silhouette Corner using Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drops in Persimmon (orange), Oasis Green, and Sea Breeze (blue) onto white paper. Heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then covered the entire piece of paper with a ColorBox/ClearSnap black pigment ink pad and heat embossed again with clear. The colored inks magically appeared, just like they did in Judi's video!
Cut, dry embossed, and made a white matte using Spellbinders Nestabilities. Adhered to Bazzill Bluegrass paper using foam squares for dimension. Black gingham ribbon from Basic Grey.
Thanks for looking! :-)
Made for the Online Card Class " His and Hers".
Day 3

Used Hero Arts Mid Tone Inks for this,
Paper by Basic Grey : Konnichiwa.

I made this card to mail to a friend with a coffee gift card.
I colored directly onto watercolor paper with Ranger Distress markers and then simply sprayed the paper with water. After the paper dried, I die cut a tag, embossed a sentiment and then embellished the tag with fussy cut flowers, twine and a button. I am adding this card to the current Tag It Challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts Need Caffeine (CL731), Hero Arts Seriously (AC018), Hero Arts Frame Cut Large Tag (DI058), BasicGrey Lucille paper, Basic Grey True Love paper and Ranger Distress Markers.
A layout done for a scraplift tag challenge... you know, the game where one person starts by lifting the last person on the list, and then person 2 lifts person 1, and person 3 lifts person 2, etc. My LO looks NOTHING like the one before it though. Oh well. :P
All BasicGrey stuff except the kraft cardstock (Stampin' Up!) and the brads (American Crafts).
With BasicGrey's Fiction collection. For more information, check out my blog: bestamped.wordpress.com/2013/03/18/remember-this-love-for...
This is my card that I created for the current Patterned Paper Challenge at Virginia's View Challenge. I cut 1/4" strips of paper from six patterns in BasicGrey's Fresh Cut paper pad and then I wove the strips together to create a background. Thanks for looking.

Made with Blush by Basic Grey for Moda. I used pink flannel for the backing to make it super snuggly. The pattern is from Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts and was published in the summer issue of Quilts and More. SO fun and easy to make. This is a gift for a 3 yr old.
One of my favorite card challenges each month is Virginia's View Challenge. This month's challenge is to create a SHAPE card. I used a Hero Arts digital file to cut the elephant shape. Thanks for looking.

Hero Arts March 2013 Letter Tiles Technique Challenge
I was inspired to make a card for this month's challenge using Shari's letter tiles technique. I thought that this card could be used as either a Congratulations card or a Birthday card. Thanks for looking.

fell in love with this quilt:
www.flickr.com/photos/blueelephantstitches/4458452205/in/... by Blue Elephant Stitches. Had to make one. First time using the wide wavy lines for quilting. Photo taken before it was washed, afterwards I loved the quilt even more and I didn't think that was possible.
OCC SCC2 (W2,D4)
Today's challenge was to create a non-holiday card with your holiday supplies using this week's color combination. I also followed one of this week's sketches. TFL.
Supplies: Hero Arts Happy (CG457), Hero Arts It's Your Day (CL661), Hero Arts Shadow Inks (Cup O'Joe, Soft Pool, Soft Leaf, and Green Hills), and BasicGrey Aspen Frost patterned paper.

Inspired by Lucy's Cards using this wonderful kit - I paired this HA digi with a rub on sentiment by BasicGrey.... Great pairing right???? Can't wait until the release of the new wonderful goodies by HA & BG... woohoo!
Entering this into this month's Love and Friendship Challenge.
Thanks so much for peeking, Deirdre
I had so much fun making a card yesterday for the current Patterned Paper Challenge at Virginia's View Challenge, that I decided to make a second card for this challenge. I am also linking my card to the current Patterned Paper Challenge at A Blog Named Hero. I punched chevron shapes from five different patterns of paper in BasicGrey's Persimmon paper pad. Then, I machine stitched the chevrons together to create a vertical strip for my card. Thanks for looking.
supplies - Hero Arts Leaves Autumn (CL714), BasicGrey Persimmon patterned paper, Hero Arts Dark Quartz Shadow Ink, Punch Bunch chevron punch, and May Arts jute string.
This card combines Basic Grey Merrakech papers with the Hero Arts Asian Frames set & CPS Sketch #106:
cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/2009/03/cps106-part-1...
I stamped the Asian frames directly onto different papers from the collection in Charcoal ink and clear embossed. The center element was stamped twice with the flowers cut out and attached in the center with glue dots for dimension.
I finished with adhesive gems and a sentiment flag from All Occasion Sentiments.

LOAD15 "Our Sweet Girl" Pet Memorial Scrapbook Layout - You can scrapbook the same photo more than once. The top square print was featured at last year's May LOAD on a scrapbook layout talking about new flooring & kitchen updates - www.flickr.com/photos/daniellehunter/8704673775/in/set-72...
Supplies: cardstock (Basic Grey, Wausau), stickers (Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon, Bella Blvd., BasicGrey), and I even pulled out the acrylic paint for some black splatters! I love this page and it was pinspired by this one: www.pinterest.com/pin/106819822384932319/ (I even had a couple of the same stickers!)
My new quilt pattern for BasicGrey featuring Aspen Frost. It's a fun one to make!

Made a while ago now, with Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers and alphas, and Hero Arts Dolls stamp set.
My idea for the 2006 holiday ornament swap - this is the prototype. It's a little album for Christmas photos.
Blogged about here.
i bought the ha/basicgrey stamp set lauderdale this past weekend. i paired the set up with this fun paper i have from stampin up!
Made for the CAS-ology challenge: "Harvest".
We have a delicious tasting apple overhere in the Netherlands, with the name: "Elstar".
I think it is THE best tasting apple! Just noticed the new harvest of these apples is in store now. Mmmm, love it!
This made it easy for me to make an apple card for the CAS-ology challenge this week.
The "Wood" background stamp is Hero Arts/Basic Grey. The appletree stamp is also Hero Arts/Basic Grey. The apples are cut with my Cricut Machine, using the "Freshly Picked" cartridge.
And than there was something missing....yes, some birds. I found these little birds on a Hero Arts stamp: "Many Birds", of wich stamp I only inked the two birds who are not in the tree , but are flying away :)
The tiny apples beside the card I found in our neigbourhood :)
