LOAD15 "Our Sweet Girl" Pet Memorial Scrapbook Layout - You can scrapbook the same photo more than once. The top square print was featured at last year's May LOAD on a scrapbook layout talking about new flooring & kitchen updates - www.flickr.com/photos/daniellehunter/8704673775/in/set-72...
Supplies: cardstock (Basic Grey, Wausau), stickers (Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon, Bella Blvd., BasicGrey), and I even pulled out the acrylic paint for some black splatters! I love this page and it was pinspired by this one: www.pinterest.com/pin/106819822384932319/ (I even had a couple of the same stickers!)
My new quilt pattern for BasicGrey featuring Aspen Frost. It's a fun one to make!

Made a while ago now, with Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers and alphas, and Hero Arts Dolls stamp set.
My idea for the 2006 holiday ornament swap - this is the prototype. It's a little album for Christmas photos.
Blogged about here.
i bought the ha/basicgrey stamp set lauderdale this past weekend. i paired the set up with this fun paper i have from stampin up!
Made for the CAS-ology challenge: "Harvest".
We have a delicious tasting apple overhere in the Netherlands, with the name: "Elstar".
I think it is THE best tasting apple! Just noticed the new harvest of these apples is in store now. Mmmm, love it!
This made it easy for me to make an apple card for the CAS-ology challenge this week.
The "Wood" background stamp is Hero Arts/Basic Grey. The appletree stamp is also Hero Arts/Basic Grey. The apples are cut with my Cricut Machine, using the "Freshly Picked" cartridge.
And than there was something missing....yes, some birds. I found these little birds on a Hero Arts stamp: "Many Birds", of wich stamp I only inked the two birds who are not in the tree , but are flying away :)
The tiny apples beside the card I found in our neigbourhood :)
These were inspired by Kristina Werner. I loved the one she had on her blog. She put transparency in her circle. I decided to forgo the transparency and put a scallop to highlight the flowers inside.
They are for my cousins baby shower. I like to give thank you cards so it's one less thing the mom to be has to worry about.
the flowers inside were stamped with 2 different colors and then I painted them with Shimerz....if you haven't used this product I urge you to go find some...this stuff rocks! :)
HA stamps setCL184 thoughtful messages was used. Flower stamps are Magenta and all paper is Basic Grey. Love those 6x6 packs.
With wind chills between 40 and 50 below yesterday, I found a few extra hours inside to make a card for a friend. Thanks for looking.

You're Special: This card is for another blogging friend who has become very special to me!
You Made My Day: This card is for a third blogging friend. She really made my day the other day ... and I want to celebrate and recognize that!

I made this small, ring journal (4.25"x5.5") for my niece (she's a tween) to record her favorite things from 2013. I mounted each page on a recycled cereal box for extra strength. Custom Ordered Quilt as a Christmas gift for my customer's daughter. In her words "it's not a Christmas Quilt per se" :)
Approximate size:
As designed - 63"w x 71"l
After quilting & washing - 57 1/2"w x 65"l
Side 1 - Cardinal & Berries applique is an enlarged version of the Moda Bake Shop Red Bird & Berries mini quilt by Karen Miller - www.modabakeshop.com/2014/01/redbird-and-berries-mini-qui...
Side 2 - Design was inspired by the quilt with the floral applique on the neutral pieced back pictured in this post by Piece & Quilt - www.pieceandquilt.com/2010/05/my-studio.html
Fabrics use are from the following Moda lines:
Crazy For Red by Minick & Simpson, Evergreen by BasicGrey (mostly purchased from the Fat Quarter Shop - www.fatquartershop.com/); and Winterberry by Kate & Birdie (purchased from Southern Fabric - www.southernfabric.com/)
Also used Timeless Treasures Crosshatch Sketch in Crimson & Scarlet for some of the berries (purchased from Hawthorne Threads - www.hawthornethreads.com/)
Applique was done by machine using a mock needle turn method similar to this tutorial - quiltshopgal.com/mock-needle-turn-applique-with-accuquilt... - but I used a wash away stabilizer (Solvy) instead of fusible interfacing & used a washable glue stick to hold the pieces in place.
Pieced & quilted with Aurifil 50w thread.
Quilted a diamond grid "behind" the appliqued center & in the light colored border. Quilted a 6"sq wine glass pattern in the darker/tan borders. Also quilted around the outer edge of the appliqued pieces & in the ditch on the narrow red borders.

I'm really enjoying the sneak peeks! My card is based on Tuesday's blog post.
Sneak Peek #2 showed a card with a blue and brown color combo and a doll. And the last card used the new CG113 Write Your Own cling stamp that I just found at Archiver's. I also liked the shiny bling and colorful flowers and decided to include those, too.
This is also my first ever attempt with paper flowers. I mixed in some flower gems and other gems. The doll's outfit is Basic Grey patterned paper. And I covered her hair and shoes with Glossy Accents ... they really shine!
Thanks for looking! :-)
Used Aspen Frost paper and a Hero Arts backgroundstamp with snowflakes. I really like this dotted organza ribbon. It is like it has snowflakes on it! Love it.

This line is AWESOME! I really love it and I am surprised how little we have heard about it. The grey text print has so many applications I can imagine it for. CAN.NOT.WAIT.
LOAD Day 23
The half-size page prompt didn't fit into my plans today. However, I ordinarily scrap in a variety of sizes, so I'm okay skipping this one.
I totally lifted my page design from Scrappy Val and her page here: www.flickr.com/photos/scrappyval/6988292552/in/photostream/ and I channeled my inner LisaInRe for the twine at the top.
There's no real journaling. I kinda felt like the statements on the stamped background said it all. I'll put more details in my blog post...seen here: randomchaoslife.blogspot.com/2012/05/may-23.html

When is a window too small to be a window? When it is a tiny elephant!!!!
I just really liked the idea of doing a window in an unusual shape, so I stamped this line of elephants and cut out one with a craft knife to make a window.
The inside of the card is a sheet of patterned paper with glitter in the elephant shape. Inside it says "wishes to you for an enormously wonderful day"
Hero Arts clear design elephants, paper BasicGrey.
LOAD22 "Tabatha & Princess 12.31.2013" Pet Memorial Scrapbook Layout. Photos were taken on New Year's Eve and I was documenting the way Princess and Tabatha would cuddle up together, but the story is about how these photos were the last happy ones of Tabby since she passed away the very next day. Page looks happy and loving, but this was another sad story :( Supplies: cardstock (Wausau, BasicGrey), washi tape, ribbon. My pinspiration: www.pinterest.com/pin/106819822386016176/
Hi there! I just got the Special Edition: A Great Big stamp set and just had to ink one of them up! I thought this cute doll fit the sentiment nicely ... and she has a lovely Sakura flower on her dress! :-)
I used 1/16" pop dots to adhere the scalloped circle with the sentiment. Then, I used 1/8" pop dots to adhere the doll to the card. That way, the doll is popped up the most. I also used an opaque white pen to highlight the center of the Sakura flower and the row of dots on the doll's dress.

I made this tag card for Jacqueline's Grid-Tag challenge. With the exception of the card base and the white inked background paper which I stamped the Have a Beautiful Birthday sentiment on, I made each of the three tags entirely with items from my stamping scrap pile. Jacqueline suggested using tags which are 4 cm by 8 cm, however the birthday sentiment is rather high, so my tags are only 7 1/2 cm long. All stamps and dies are Hero Arts. Thanks for this great challenge Jacqueline! And thanks for looking.
