Behind every good man stands a good woman
Though they might be looking a different way
While she's dealin' with one thing
I've got another thing comin'
If I'm lookin' at tomorrow, she'll be thinkin' 'bout yesterday
Back to back, we face each other
Still together all alone
We'd be the last to turn to one another
But I know we'll make it together on our own
Nobody could ever come between us
Or force our backs against the wall
Today we're tighter than I've ever seen us
Bending over backwards together, we could never fall
Back to back, we face each other
Still together all alone
We'd be the last to turn to one another
But I know we'll make it together on our own
Back to back we face each other
But I know we'll make it together on our own
On this Saturday morning I was trying to pick this off between other obligations and only tried due to a large gap of sunny skies between the typical Ohio December grey skies of doom. That left me few choices to begin with and I had this framed up nicely with the mileposts a couple engine lengths back but sure enough right as the train was coming so was a cloud, so a hasty re-position left me with this "basic sunny wedgie" and then I was done - off to meet a family obligation deadline. You'll remember we had a boat trip to the Amalfi coast and towns and a rough trip back to Sorrento! Once back on dry land at Marina Piccola, any queasiness subsided and we headed back to the hotel. The rain had actually eased too, but the girls ahead still decided to carry their umbrellas in case of any lingering raindrops!!
I captured this image of a male Little Owl in one of my Apple trees in my back garden. He had just swooped down into the back field and caught this earth worm!
Thank you for taking the time to view my images, happy to receive feedbck.

Having safely descended the treacherous grade off Millstone Hill via the switchback Vermont Rail System's Washington County Railroad crew is headed west at MP 8.1 on the Montpelier and Barre Division. They are crossing South Main Street (VT Route 14) wirh seven loads of granite armor rock from the Northeast Materials quarry trailing green GMRC 804 (a GP9r blt. Oct. 1955 as NW 13) and red VTR 206 (a GP38-3 206 blt. Oct. 1969 as SOU 2718 and originally a high nosed straight GP38). At the small yard in downtown Barre they will pick up more loads then head into Montpelier where the whole string will temporarily be left while they run light down to Montpelier Junction to pull empties from the NECR interchange.
This is the historic Barre Railroad mainline opened in 1888 as the famed 'Sky Route' funded by local interests to reach the quarries. Here is a great historic article from 1889 about this railroad:

Coming home from Holland on Saturday I took the back roads to see if I could get any good shot of the wintery landscape.
Mother Grey Seal protecting her newly born pup.
Thje oither female was probably just wanting to get past, but it pays to be overprotective in the crowded colony.
They look cute and cudly - until they aren't. :-)

Conductor John Gelwicks flags the Ciry SW's across Caroline st. as they drag 2 loaded scrap gons out O'brien Steel, they then shove them onto runaround and shove them back to the TZPR interchange to the left. Only the 1202 was online, the 1207's batteries are dead.
