Back in 1989 you were allowed to climb Mt Coonowrin (Crookneck) - the steepest of the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It has been closed for some years now due to dangerous conditions.

To often we do not look at the back of the beautiful creations in nature; to see the intricacy that creates the wonders of nature.

Back alley in Seoul, South Korea - 2017

Yes, that would be my car. I went to camp this afternoon with Julia to pick up Brandon. I saw him in the playground a few feet away from where I parked. I ran over to talk to him and just as I met up with him, we heard what sounded like fireworks. As we turned around to see, we watched as a huge pine tree fell and crushed my car. LOTS of damage, yet somehow drivable. I haven't stopped laughing since it happened. It's keeping me from crying. :)

(told ya my life was full of excitement!)

Last month I traveled to Mt Rainier NP to capture the early wildflower bloom in the Paradise area of the park. After a long day, I decided to hike down the Skyline Trail a bit after sunset to try some Milky Way shots.

This shot of the trail winding back to the Paradise Inn was one of my favorites of the night. That's the Tatoosh Range in the distance rising from the base of the Milky Way. The wonderfully named Unicorn Peak is just left of dead center.

You can see more shots from my recent photo trip to the Pac NW at: www.firefallphotography.com/photographic-highlights-of-ad...

Have a great weekend!

The City of Long Beach reflecting the morning sun back at me on a wonderful morning on the Queen Mary.

A post lockdown excercise walk.

Just back from a few days on the southern Oregon coast. While walking on the beach, I spotted a seagull landing with a crab in it's mouth. As my friend & I approached, it moved a few feet away, dropping the crab, which was still alive. My friend thought he's rescue the crab & tossed it back into the water. As we walked away thinking he had done a good deed, we saw the same gull swoop down & capture the crab again. We decided to let nature take it's course this time & I took this photo of the gull enjoying his meal...

I'm glad to be back

Yes, I'm let loose

From the noose

That's kept me hanging about

I've been looking at the sky

'Cause it's gettin' me high

Forget the hearse 'cause I never die

I got nine lives

Cat's eyes

Abusin' every one of them and running wild

'Cause I'm back

Yes, I'm back in black
